Originally AfterBurn set out to be a futuristic glitzy shiney high speed racer ( in a similar way to Wipeout and F-Zero games), with no storyline and no resemblance to the UT3 world. However after much deliberation, and various early development stages it was decided that we should set out with a slightly different approach, intergrating AfterBurn with the existing Unreal World, this is why many of the environments you will see in AfterBurn bare much resemblance of those in UT3. You may also find yourself using similar weaponry and vehicles to those featured in UT3, we can confirm you will be seeing the much loved ONS turrets from UT3 in a track side role (and UT2004) you will also find yourself riding in a vehicle very similar to the Viper, this is currently known as the Viper Gt (Differences include thorough aerodynamic modification and greatly increased power and handling, along with weaponry mounting points).
