Peshmerga are the military forces of the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdisan. Peshmerga means "one who confronts death" or "one who faces death". "Pesh" means to stand in front of while "merga" means death.
Being in Conflict with Iraq from 1918 and even until 2003, the Peshmerga played an important role in the side of the Coalition during the 1991 Persian Gulf war and the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.They also supported Iran during the Iran-Iraq war.
In 2004 the Kurdish anti-terror forces captured Hassan Ghul , which led to the Operation Neptune Spear.

Thanks, I thought about those forgotten efforts, and I thought it would be good to include the Peshmerga in a game, because US and UK troops are too many seen in games.
Also the Australia and Poland and many others countries contributed in the Iraq War, but they are not included in Urban Conflict,but I don't have forgotten them, because I have a plan for them :)
I thing making a coalition forces which each kits represents a country that contributed the war would be better than making every single country standalone.
However, just want to say that in Kurmanji "mirîn" is used for death, although I don't know Sorani dialect, where you learned the meaning of "Peshmerga" and the word "merg" is very similiar with "mir". Just wanted to say...

Kurds have fought against Saddam Hussein's Iraq in Gulf War era, circumstances affect the relationships. Today their relationship is good because they have an autonomous region recognized by current Iraqi government and have the same enemy to engage.
