An Overhaul submod for The Elder Scrolls: Total War, adding many major features, such as new factions, new custom campaigns, alchemy crafting, events, Oblivion realms and portals to them, dungeons, lore missions and guilds, upgradable settlements, many new units and retextures, traits, ancillaries and more!
To be clear, the general revolted from one skyrim faction to another... :D You might know this mechanics from kingdoms DLCs
It will be used as well between The Empire and Imperial "colovian" rebel faction (used at various occassions) and also between Summerset monarchy and The Thalmor.
Hero, of course. He realized the meaninglessness of loyalty to the rotten Empire, and joined the truly free people of Tamriel. The true king of Skyrim will reward this man generously, I have no doubt.
This is your brain on mead
Will the rebel faction be named Colovian Estates?
Im having hard times figuring out a proper name for the imperial shadow faction, I might go with Kingdom of Cyrodiil :)
The Colovian Estates were a thing in the lore, that's why I was asking.
En.uesp.net
Yes, that was my original name for the faction in 1.42 (the faction was already there, but unplayable :P). But since I will be now using it more widely, as a shadow faction to The Empire, I figured it might not be the best name anymore. If you got some other ideas, lemme know :D
How about Imperial Principate? Im certainly more of a fan for thr less Romanesque Empire we saw in Morrowind.
Never the less Principate with the faction leader being the Princeps, its still keeping with the aspirations of Imperial statehood while being seperated from the Empire at large.
Hmmm,
Well, the faction is meant to reresent for example Titus Mede taking over in late 3rd era scenarios, Colovians independent state during Interregnum, and then Ill use it for some random various script in other scenarios as well, if the emperor isnt a good guy, or is too weak.
It will work somewhat like barons alliance in britannia DLC if you know it.
I would probaby go with calling the leader either Emperor or King, as the faction will wish to replace the "True" Empire :D

Sorry that guest was me, just forgot to log in.
My question was if calling the faction Imperial Principate was off the table, or just said leader name suggestion?
Well,
Neither is off the table, I asked the team what they think. Though, as,I said, its supposed to be mostly trying to replace emperor, than just being a smaller part of the empire :)
How about Despot?
Better yet forget Principate, how about Despotate instead? "Despotate of Cyrodiil","Cyrodiilic Despotate", "Colovian/Nibenese Despotate"
With said faction leader being the Despot.
I like your ideas but I dont think they entirely fit that into this universe :d
We are working with ideas like Kingdom of Cyrodiil (the most likely), Cyrodiilic Revolt or perhaps even something like Imperial Nobles...
A bit too Byzantine esque? I can see that.
My question is should I think more Romanesque or Morrowind (Imperial) esque for the names?
Well, I think we should think of it only in terms that were utilized in the lore (= all the TEs/ESO games)
Does unofficial patch have a discord server by any chance?
I plan to make one for fans later.
Though, if you want to be on our developer discord, in case you would like to help out with writting process and so on, I can add you to it :)
I'd love to. I'd admit to have no experience with modeling or coding, but I'd like to think I've a knack with writing and the like.
I'm embarrassed to say that I somewhat am still a playtester for Europa Barbarorum 2, only embarrassed because I dropped off the grid there. Life gave me a pounding at the beginning of the year unrelated to Rona. I'm too ashamed to show my face there just yet.
yea, we need lot of writing so dont worry :)

Unrelated but there is a mention of "Despot" in ESO, albeit it's just an armor piece 'Despot's Shoulderguards' and it's inferring to an Altmer anyhow.
