Uncombined mod for Half-Life 2

About
Uncombined is a single-player modification for the Half-Life 2 Source engine. This is Half-Life 2 as you've never experienced, with an awesome storyline and unexpected dark twists.

Uncombined is set in the world of Half Life 2, but will not connect or interact with the story. This game will be using both desolate abandoned cities under combine watch and resistance locations in several different types of enviroments. The levels will be aiming to create a sense that something is not right, it won’t be an evident feeling but one that will finally manifest itself in the final, dark chapter. Uncombined uses many of the same enemies, weapons, and game architecture of Half-Life 2, but we will also introduce our own enemies, weapons and characters.

Storyline
Mike Ravens was an ordinary citizen. He had a wife, a job, house. Then came the combine invasion. His house was divided amoung three families and his employer disappeared. After a month of living under the combine oppression, they raided his block, tearing his wife away from him and dragging him away. The combine brainwashed him and he became one of millions of faceless combine civil protection units. And so he ‘enforced', ate, and slept without any change. He followed orders and had no thoughts of his own.

It is one such order that brings him to a remote combine base under attack by ant lion hordes. The base is soon overrun, Mike’s body layed almost lifeless against a wrecked wall. Rebel scavengers find him and bring him back to their base. Here he is given back not only his physical life, but his true life also, as a scientist removed the brainwash. The procedure is far from perfect, thus his memory slowly returns.

He feels like something is missing, but without his full memory he doesn’t know what. He has visions in which a singular face haunts him. A sudden mention of his wife, and his life becomes clear; he must save her, and he will go through all hell to do so.
