1. The Dark Empire -- A victory at Endor accelerated Palpatine's goal of transforming the Galactic Empire into his crazy magocracy. Will allow construction of unique dark side units, as well as a fallen Sith Lord Luke Skywalker.

2. Tarkin's Empire -- If you decide the Death Star survives/wins at Yavin (Mission profile still in brainstorming stage), then Tarkin's ego, combined with the goating of Admiral Motti, has Tarkin aim his ultimate weapon at the Imperial Palace. (Edit: His "rank" is Supreme Moff in this coup, not Emperor. That's a typo.) This coup is the only way for the player to keep the DS-I.

3. Trachta's Empire -- Trachta manages to eliminate Palpatine, Vader, and the plethora of Inquisitors and Dark Side Adepts in one big cleaning-house coup. These dark siders have been replaced with advanced cyborg clones created by Atha Prime, and none other than the good Doctor Cylo.

4. Galactic Imperium -- The earliest possible coup, Gentis manages to eliminate Palpatine, Vader, Trachta, and Tarkin (What a character coincidence!). His Imperium is styled after the Fel Empire of the Legacy Era, with loyal Imperial Knights, and the Imperial Mission bringing forced, orderly peace to the galaxy.

5. Vader's Empire -- Oh boy, this one is fun. Luke joins Vader at Bespin, and the two rule the galaxy as father and son. Massive turmoil ensues, as Vader is probably the world administrator to sit on the throne. But, he manages to heal his broken body with the help of his son.

Let's see if anyone recognizes the logo I used for the Dark Empire. Hint: It appears in a comic :)

Each coup will have around 4-5 missions that you can complete to both enact the coup and deal with the fallout afterwards if you want.

No ETA for this mechanic yet, and it won't *really* be in the beta for a while.

Description

In UGCW, I have developed a bare-bones focus tree mechanic based off the national focus trees from HOI4, among other games. I won't go into detail too much about that here, but here is a teaser for the 5 different routes your player Empire can go down (It is unlikely I can get the AI to go down these routes mechanically.) Each coup comes with their own emperor, and some unique game mechanics and new units. This encourages replayability on the player's part.
