Please state all possible or definite bugs that needs to be fixed in the next version 1.8.1

This thread relates to the THB release. All later versions will be posted on other threads.

Please read the FAQ before posting.

There will be NO "I am missing Tyranids, Daemons or IDH race" reports. I will simply delete your post if this happens. Make sure that you have actually loaded The UA THB: New Factions mod in the game manager if you wish to use these races. Also make sure all separate race mods are up to date!

Whenever I launch the mod, with executable script or with internal mod manager, it charges for a while, and then game crash without any error. Yes I have all requirements, and the warning log simply says :
17:35:56.87 GAME -- Restarting with mod 'ultimateapocalypse_thb_didht'...
17:35:56.87 GAME -- Ending FE
17:35:56.87 GAME -- Shutdown quit
17:35:56.87 MOD -- Shutting down Mod 'dxp2'...

No error, no explanation. Just CTD.

Each required mod has the last version. And each of them works individually. But when activating THB ingame, I don't even get a "can't activate the mod" error, it simply CTD. 1.73 worked perfectly.

the mutilators are missing their textures on mine

Necron stuff:

1. Instant Build Wincondition does not work for some buildings (main monolith, heavy termoplasma generator).

2. Restored monolith spawn is weird. Sometimes the monolith in which you order it disappears(like it should (at least it was like this before) ),sometimes Restored just appears near Main Monolith, without it disappearing. Sometimes when it behaves like it should, the Main Monolith stays there for 5-10 seconds before disappearing.

3. Max power income is 1000 (Could be intended, but kinda bad if it is )

4. Necron Lord sound too loud, same with sterilization obelisk (does it really need a sound that is not basic necron whoop-whoop?)

5. Tomb spiders cant spawn scarabs (?) because "requirements weren't met". I think same problem was in 1.73.9, but it worked sometimes. Maybe i don't know something about spiders.

Okay, THB works, but New faction don't, as Oversword. And I just manually deleted, redownloaded, and re-installed every required mod, using the links listed in the helper description.

I'm missing some icons/models in Demons faction. Like the Juggernaut for example. (has pink icon and untextured pink model). I'll try reinstalling Demons, but maybe someone else has this problem?

EDIT: That fixed it so I probably had outdated Demons.

The Daemons secondary turret (I forget the name, the one that is supposed to turn enemy units against eachother within its sight radius) doesn't seem to be working.

I was playing against Tyranids and none of the Tyranids infantry squads attacked eachother within the turrets radius, even when they were really close to the turret (Not quite close enough for the instant kill effect to happen, but nearly)

Has this happened to anyone else? Are Tyranids supposed to immune to this effect?


Aside from that, brilliant job with the THB release guys!

I'll need you to send me a log file from your end. To do so:
- Launch Soulstorm, try loading THB - New Factions (triggering the error), then close Soulstorm.
- Navigate to your Soulstorm directory, and locate a file named "Warnings.log"
- Open it with notepad, and make a paste in Pastebin.com
- When done, link your results back here.

6. Gauss Pylon not deepstriking, instead spawning near Ancient Summoner Core like doomsday monolith etc, but description says "(Deepstrike)". Either wrong description or wrong behavior. Also last line in description says "Sentry Pylon".

7. Tomb Stalker says "COST 1 RELIC POINT", instead cost is 150 ("Ork Resource", but that`s another bug). Also cant spawn scarabs, like Tomb Spider (same bug as in the 1.73.9).

UntitledThe chaos terminator lord becomes a mish-mash of textures and models while in close combat. At first I thought it was because I didn't pick a mark, but it persisted regardless.

In the new races instance of THB, many custom hotkeys are missing, like q for RUN!!! and O for structure repair

The Necrons don't have the heavy thermoplasma generator in their build options

UA team, congrats for this Realease! Installation perfectly worked just by following the install protocol thing.

Atm I'm checking units in army painter and see (probably) mistakes while saving textures for some new units. Example: the new gargants, IG deathstrike missile part, Necron nighscythe to name few. They all have a transparency problem (probably an alpha channel in textures that should not be there. Tga textures saved as 32bits instead of 24 most probably))where you can see the (great) army painter background. I'll check if that's really a texture problem or is it maybe a model material property which is wrong?

sadly, I am encountering an error where the vanilla factions only have their soulstorm units. I have tried multiple clean installs. Demons, Inquisition and Nids have their units, but the original factions don't. When I play THB without the new factions it is identical to vanilla soulstorm. Any new ideas would be greatly appreciated. This seem to be a maddeningly specefic bug.

Well, after some few games I can safely say that THB is the best UA vintage ever released. Intense battles, responsive AI and all. Playing harder difficulty for now. Maybe I can handle insane with Necrons...maybe. However I've not met all factions on the battlefield yet. Nids are now interesting to fight against but are still getting stuck if battle is too long and they TURTLE (NIDS!!!) after some time :\ The critical location system is awesome, it's bringing a brand new dynamic imho. GG for all those win conditions too.

So far my only grief are:

Nids=even more lag fest than before. I could not think it was possible but you did it! ^^ It's unbearable at some point...and I don't want to lower my graphical settings because of that. That's to mod author to be sure that the mod run on an average 2015 rig ;) ...at least when playing offline (1920x1080 resolution, corei5 3.1ghz, 12gb ddr3, GTX 960 in my case). In previous 1.73.9 it was already borderline, I (still) don't understand why you keep adding more and more unpractical FXs when you definitely know that DOW engine is on it's knee.

Daem daemonic cloud visual all around their base, seriously, it's such messy that I can't find my troops (on Parmenie map it is the worse I think)! I need to rely on my support/heavy support counter to get an idea if I'm getting ass kicked or not. Seriously XD

I've met some few bugs but I need to see if I can reproduce them again or if it was because of that specific map I downloaded...

Experienced my first CTD on Parmenie...while fighting against/with Daemons (got one on both sides) :D
