Please state all possible or definite bugs that needs to be fixed in the next version 1.86.0

This thread relates to the THB 1.85.5 release. All later versions will be posted on other threads.

Please read the FAQ before posting.

There will be NO "I am missing Tyranids, Daemons or IDH race" reports. I will simply delete your post if this happens. Make sure that you have actually loaded The UA THB: New Factions mod in the game manager if you wish to use these races. Also make sure all separate race mods are up to date!

I installed everything to my knowledge correctly but, when I launch the game and it gets to the UA loading screen a few seconds after it just closes the game automatically. did not see anything in the FAQ on what this is and with the new patch it maybe a bug so I"m posting it here

Playing Space Marines vs. Dark Eldar ai, the SM loose their morale extremely fast, something wrong for sure with morale loss. Even after using Sergant to restore morale, it is eroded within seconds.

Also, if using a razorback transport, it will show a pink box where it's picture would be (not map, in lower menu)

For the Dark Eldar affecting morale, I'll need to do more research to see which unit/units cause this. But effectively they kept all space marine units morale at zero, and even if using sergeants to restore morale, it is lost within a few seconds to zero again, which is pretty insane.

Hi there, great mod you got going.
The orks 2nd turret(the big base defense one) builds okay, but once an enemy comes in range and it starts firing, a purple banner with some inverted letters keeps popping 'out' from the centre of the turret, expanding till the size of say, an Ork HQ before restarting. So I think its a animation issue,or maybe its just my version.
Also while playing against the IDH, I saw them build about 4 Scholar squads, 5 Stormtrooper squads, and zero grey Knights. However I'm not very sure about this so maybe I'm mistaken. Thanks

SOme bugs werent fixed from the last version...:

Chaos Machine Pit has the Alpha Legion colour scheme no matter what scheme you choose.

Space Marine Nuclear Weapons Center will ALWAYS use the Imperial Guard's player scheme if there is one in the match. If there is no IG player, it will then use the correct scheme.

Mod still fails to load with the hotfix on 1.85.5. Works fine with the new factions, but it outright refuses to start without them.

I don't think this is the right place, and I don't like reporting so many bugs as I feel like an a$$, but I guess I'm just trying to help in this way. I may be wrong about somethings, or my game could have issues as I don't play multiplayer....anywho, here goes
Playing 4 player map, Titan Aid, Extreme Titan wars(1000%), normal, 4 player map.
The Ork ai spawned with a titan, but didn't capture any points, he built some gretchin, Boyz hut, Mek Shop, Teknolojee tree, some waagh banners and Generators. But zero units other than the builders. He didn't even capture the two points that are just by the base, his titan just walked around a bit
After some time he built a Big Mek, then a few wratrukks when he was under attack
His pop showed 100/90 and 1/18

I know this because I was defeated(Hierophant vs Warhound T_T) and was 'viewing' the game

Also, the tyranid AI's carnifexes didn't melee enemies. Like some Screamer Killers got next to the Ork titan and just stood there. Also the ranged ones(carnifexes) didn't fight back when engaged in melee. So except the tyrant guards(and the Titan) their monstrous creatures weren't fighting melee.
The Hive Tyrants Sync kill was glitched, as he just stood there swiping with four blades for 5 full seconds...

General

  • Planes sometimes still get stuck in terrain obliging you to jump outside the terrain to unstuck it.
  • To prevent builders and units of the AI to get stuck (my attempt), maybe the AI can try to send another builder squad (or create a new one), and if none of remaining builders can get to the building, destroy the building and build it somewhere ese, if some other builder squad can get to the building, then suicide the stuck builders (sometimes stuck builders prevent the AI to properly develop). For the units (maybe this is impossible to test), first check if there's another place where the units can get out of the building, then balance the unit (cost, time to be field, strength...) if is not that important/costly compared to the building(s) that prevents the unit to move, then suicide the unit and try to field the new unit in other place, in the oposite case, destroy the building(s).
  • Please, I already reported this in the patch 1.84.58, the commander level 4 icon is written like "IIII" instead of "IV" but the level 4 of the HQ is correctly written. Please, this is a really ugly detail.
  • In Sandbox mode, the enemy or ally factions still upgrading their heroes on their own, even with "Dummy AI" addon. Please, fix this.
  • Please, change the possition of the "Change faction" button in Sandbox mode, when you get 3 or 4 heroes, the hero icon overlaps the button.
  • There's a small chance where a hero won't get the purchased ability/wargear I'm not sure how it happened but I think that it does if the heroe is killed while researching it or specifically when the progress bar reaches the 100% while the hero dies. It happened me once, I bought the "Gace of Murder" in the Daemon Lord and he got killed in the moment while researching it, and when I fielded the hero again, he didn't have the ability nor the possibility of buying the ability again.
  • There are a lot of pink boxes from the new factions and new tiers, just save a replay or go to spectator mode, select some building a see the production queue. A great list can get out of there...
  • Although I always forget to make a list, there are some unit abilities that overlaps its keyboard shortcuts with the "standard" shortcuts ('Q' to fast movement, 'Z' melee, 'A' move-attack here...). I think one unit was the Chaos SM Heretic builder, the toggleable ability has the shortcut in the 'Q' and that's the standard key to the fast-movement.

Daemons

  • I know I mentioned it above but Drones get constantly stuck even without jumping.

I'm going to paste here bugs I mentioned in the Daemon thread:

  • The Dedicated God research in the lps does nothing, at least I expect the minions from the dedicated god to get a little more health under it (and the others a little less than normal as it is stated in the research description), but the truth is that the health granted is the same, maybe it affects the regeneration rate or moral, in this case I didn't notice. About this I think that (once fixed if it's not working) it shouldn't penalize the other minions as you pay 75pow for this research. It should penalize them if it was free (so it like a choice) but why pay to power up a little range of units and penalize the bast range of them paying?
  • The Hell Spawn, when using the ground-attack button, it shoots fast turret-like fireballs which do 0 damage to the chosen area and then it also shoots the big artillery imprecise fireballs which do damage. How about giving damage to those turret-like fireballs? because Whirlwinds shoot additional missiles that do more damage than standard ones when using the ground-attack button and also shoots the standard missiles.
  • The Warp Signature description states that can be built anywhere in the map but the fact is that it cannot be built outside building zone. This needs to be fixed (either the description or the possibility to build it outside the zones).
  • The Greater Daemon research "Cold Heart" (I think that's its name) that, according to its description "makes all the Daemon minions not to feel fear anymore removing the moral bar" it doesn't work, they keep the moral bar and still vulnerable to moral damage, this gotta be fixed and also, when properly fixed, this would mean that the units that are "very easy to kill if not under the possession of the warp -> morale depleted" have to become possessed by the warp permanently after the research.
  • The Soul Grinder, in it stats, it's claimed to make less damage than a Greater Warp Spawn but the truth is that it does not. Maybe it's because the attack rate is higher in the Soul Grinder? if not, the stats should be updated.
  • I think that the Soul Grinder, the Defiler/Deceivers and the Greater Daemons Gods should properly be effective against swarms of enemies (as stated in their descriptions) because a simple Spinegaunt-like squad (specifically Tyranid one) can make stuck forever these powerful units to the point they can be killed without additional backup. You can see how this happens to a Dreadknight here: Youtu.be.
  • I think that every Daemon unit should be able to enter into a Warp as they need a research, are not free (200pow each) and are temporal. For example the Soul Grinder, Greater Warp Spawn, Hell Spawn, Greater Warp Scorpion and Hell Drake can't get into it but it can't be a "space problem" as Angron can get into. In big maps, moving a Greater Warp Scorpion or a Soul Grinder from one point of the map to another is a real pain... Please fix this.
  • After completed the research "Planetary Exterminator" in the Hell Spawn/Maledictum, in the Nightmare Altar, in the right space of the Win Button appeared a new icon (like the Warp Storm but with a little "Win" square) with the name "$15043301 No Range" at a cost of 40k req 40k pow that spawns a huge explosion in the designated area plus several "Pillars of the World End" which spawns different minions (than standard Daemon ones) at a free cost, 1 cap of infantry each. Among those minions you can find a squad of "Bloodletters" with a different icon (that standard) that looks like a squad of Heralds of Khorne once spawned. Every minion that can be spawned has a different icon than standard Daemon ones but the Pink Horrors. I guess this has to be the Chaos Space Marine new final weapon that somehow ended also in Daemons by mistake or with the wrong descriptions.
  • Angron may (or not) lose moral when he uses his ability "Warp Storm" near him. In one case he lost all his moral, dropping instantly his invincibility. This needs to be fixed.

The Inspiring choices have the old descriptions on them(still says 10% bonus moral, hp, 15% productios bonus etc).

I would also like to make a, well, sort of request, is there any chance that you can make an option to heavily tone down the effects of the Deamons buildings(especially in late game when literally everything burns and drops thunder) or to tone down the miasma effect from the tyranids(again especially in late game, when those green particles are everywhere).

If both of these factions are present in a game it manages to heavily lag, even when both factions have virtually no units(and they can spawn units like no tomorrow) Id really appreciate it, and so would my potato pc.

Chaos marines have two Machine Pits in the build menu.

Source of problem is redundant warpforge EBPs: "chaos_warpforge" seems okay, but "chaos_warp_forge" has similar attributes except ui data is identical to "chaos_machine_pit".

Recommended action: delete "chaos_warp_forge". I'm not sure if you can do that with an overwriting install but an executable patch (.exe) should be able to delete a file.
