Description

The Energy Tag Cannon is an advanced energy weapon system re-engineered from Wrath technology. It uses concentrated pulses of fast moving energy to inflict damage on targets. The most impressive feature of the system is the ability to "track" enemy targets - the weapon will fire "dumb" projectiles until a target is hit, after which all subsequent projectiles will guide themselves to hit the "tagged" target, hence the 'Tag Cannon' name.

The weapon is recommended for use against shielded enemies as the energy projectiles will disrupt the shielding, causing extra damage. It is also effective against fast moving targets due to the tagging ability.

Upgrades to this weapon are available to experienced users:
At level 1, the alternate fire is unlocked. Alternate fire allows the operator to expend ammunition to increase the charge of a single projectile, greatly increasing it's explosive energy power. The charged projectiles lose their tracking ability and will cause damage to targets in a large radius of impact. The power of the projectile depends on the duration of the charging.
At level 2, the discharge circuit is upgraded, allowing for a faster rate of fire.
At level 3, the storage capacitor is upgraded, increasing the power of each projectile.
At level 4, the battery on the weapon will draw energy from the environment to charge, allowing it to generate ammunition any time the weapon is equipped.
At level 5, the projectiles are magnetically charged, allow them to "bounce" to a nearby target to inflict additional damage on impact.
At level 6, the battery charger is upgraded, allowing it to recharge faster.
