A bit pointy don't you think? Also the old tiberium was classic. But hey, I like this new design aswell.

I am...torn. Sure, the old ones look all tiny and distant, but they were TS, GORRAMIT! O:

Oh, right, are the trees getting a facelift as well?

The tiberium trees will be replaced too in the future, yes.

Please note that this tiberium is not considered final, it may be changed and edited at some point in time.

That looks kinda like C&C3; style... I don't really like the C&C3;-style Tiberium, it was for all intents and purposes a complete redesign like everything else in that game (Not to say that's bad, a lot of things worked out really well)... I think if you wanted to keep the pointyness, make the pot thing they sit in darker and more noticeable. It'll feel a bit more nostalgic that way but still be unique. As for redesigning the Tib Trees, I'm fine with anything as long as it's not a pit! That is a lot easier to make something really good in because pretty much anything that even remotely looks like a plant or rock works really well.

The pod thing the crystals sit in is the actual tiberium, if you pay close enough attention to the description of Tiberium in the first game, it's pretty clear the crystals are effectively an excretion.

I can assure you this Tiberium isn't based on C&C3;, in fact it's based on this TS concept Cncguild.net though, admittedly we may need to increase the contrast on the pods to make them more distinguishable from the TI dirt tiles.

HD TD tiberium in TI? Sounds totally your style, indeed.

The old tib indeed had to go, it was pretty much the worst pixelart they did in the entire game.

I like it, very good quality. You continue to amaze me with what you can make out of a game from 99. However, the crystals are too spiky in my opinion as well, like many have pointed out. If you're still up for suggestions, making them shorter and giving them more visible pods could really give them that HD but classic feeling.

I'd say the crystals are too... vertical imo. Maybe it's the sheer "thinness" of it, or not enough crystals going in other directions. Just giving my feedback.

That's actually a fairly good point. Though, quickly looking at concept/FMVs of it for TD and TS, it actually looks like it's 'only' some ~15° off the pod's vertical in most cases.*
How-EVER, the pods do grow at whatever angle they damn well want to grow at.
*I'm also terrible at gouging angles.

A bit too outstanding if you ask me - try making it a little bit smaller :)
