After a failed assault on Lothal, the surviving Rebel forces have regrouped in the world's mountainous region. With no hope of rescue from their allies of the Rebel Alliance, the survivors are on their own to hold out against the Empire amidst the mysterious ancient temples carved into the mountains.

Welcome to the next map of Trench War! This is likely the last Lothal map I will do. This map is centered around the mountains of lothal shown in the latter half of season 4 of SW Rebels, including the episode Jedi Night, which was the inspiration for my last two Lothal maps and is one of my favorite episodes of the show. This map has a very large section of platforms in the heights of the mountains separated from the standard trench battlefield, making it a little different from how many of my maps tend to play.
Included are custom units (Hera, Kanan, Ezra, Zeb, Pryce, Sabine, and Rex) and vehicles (bwing, T1b, T4b, combatspeederproto, and hovernaut). Screenies are below. Assets for this map and for the Lothal Fuel Depot map will be uploaded soon. I have done less testing on this map prior to release than I normally do, especially on the CW era, so please let me know what issues you find.
Known bugs:
-flickering objects
-A random object in the midst of one of the temple rooms that I can't seem to get rid of in XSI
-Not a bug, but be careful of death regions below the mountains. In order to prevent ai from getting stuck down there and piling up, I put death regions under most of the mountain platforms
-missing sounds, especially in CW
-ai sometimes get stuck on platforms

After this one, one final Lothal map could really be set at the Imperial Complex.
My next map I hope to be the advanced science division from bad batch. My hope was that the fuel depot would serve as a stand in for the imperial complex, as I originally intended to release that map after this one and for that to be the conclusion
That does make sense. If there ever was a real possibility, it would be cool to have a map set in that facility with a lot of characters that participated in that battle being included. But this is good enough so far.
BellĂsimo, tienes pensado hacer mapas con ejercitos de la nueva republica y el imperio remanente?
Likely not, unfortunately. I mostly just do gcw stuff, and I only add on CW because of how quick and easy it is to do so. A custom era would be much harder
I've downloaded, and have now tried the map with all four armies. As the CIS, I couldn't board a spacecraft at the south east side, without being shot down by auto-turrets - and even the AATs I got into were being damaged. Consequently, it's taken me several attempts to finally win as the CIS - as the Republic just relentlessly swamps the map. Frustrating - especially if my droid is having trouble refiring!
I still had some difficulty as the Rebels, but at least I wasn't shot down as soon as I took off in an A-Wing.
The trick with this map, as per at Lothal: Fuel Depot, is for the CIS/Rebellion to capture the far CP of the Republic/Empire, and then fight the Republic/Empire from the rear. Flow with their tide - not against it!
It's also easy to accidentally step over the edge, when on the paths cut into the cone-shaped mountains - so, watch out!
The map is nicely-designed. I just wish it was balanced better - especially in the Clone Wars era. And that the map was more detailed re. the mountain paths (as they are a real maze).
I might well update the CW balancing. As I mentioned in the description, it was less tested than my maps normally are, especially the cw era, as my time off from work was ending and I wanted to go ahead and release it. The maze of the paths will need to remain, as the ramps have to cover a lot of altitude, but ai can't cross over each other vertically. In order to have them cover the altitude without crossing over a lot of doubling back and such is needed. Thank you for your feedback!
Thanks for your reply. Fair enough. It could be that the Trench Wars maps are too large to show the walkways on the mini-maps - and that I would, as a player, just need to pause play, go Free Camera, and draw out a pencil map on paper of the walkways.
The main problem was that I couldn't fly as the CIS, because every time their ships were being shot down from the very start - and so it's very hard to overcome the Republic without the necessary support!
I still have your Lothal: Fuel Depot, and Atollon maps. I do enjoy those. Thank you for your hard work and sharing your maps with us!
