Will we be able to toggle between this version and Scramble for the East for custom battles? Or is the roster for scramble included in this as well?
There are two new collections of files posted here. Do we need both files? (The first one and then the installer)?
One is a manual installation, the other (this one) has an auto-installer. Sadly the Scramble was and is a beta test for this. The MP mode is a different mod that will eventually replace the Scramble mod for single - and multiplayer custom battles. The feedback we received from Scramble actually helped us to develop this mod and future projects. The MP mode will be compatible with other mods in the future (like the Carlist Wars).
Since the file names for each version are slightly different, it does look like you could use the mod manager to toggle between them. This is especially helpful for those of us who want to play as the French or British etc., since the latest version only seems to include American Civil War units.
I actually am working towards this. The Scramble mod will eventually cease development as the MP mode will replace the custom. battle part (single - and multiplayer)and the Carlist wars is like the official first campaign mod for the Total FotS series as the (The Scramble mod was a beta test). They both (Carlist Wars and MP mode) can work together or independently. That is why you got core files and mod specific files. BTW, the MP mode will contain more factions. The first release is like the first of many.
I did all of the installation right for both the manual and the auto installer and used 7zip to extract the files I also deleted the mentioned files in roaming I get to the main menu screen (the mod version) and when I clicked on the custom battles tab the game crashes, in the future is there going to be a patch to fix it?
The Installer works. The only thing i can tell you is to delete your Shogun 2 folder in the Appdata and delete your Shogun 2 data folder and after uninstall trough steam and re-install the game. Test the game if it works. Then re-install the mod.

Will more units of infantry and cavalry be added to the union and confederate factions in the future like the 79th NY Cameron Highlanders and the 58th NY Polish Legion for the union and the 24th Georgia and the Confederate Marines as examples. Love the Mod! Keep Up The Great Work!
There is a hardcore (sub)mod comming for fots. So you will see a bunch of new units. The MP mode will not go further with adding more units. As it just concentrates on some conflicts of a certain era (without a real overwhelming concentration of units).
The first time I opened the mod it crashed when I clicked on custom battle
re-download the mod and follow the instructions.

Do I need to have Legacy Scramble for the East mod for this to work?
Nope. It's a standalone mod (read description).
Love this mod dude! Can't wait to play as the British with the martini Henry's in the single player campaign!
