This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.
New GDI AA Cannon? Uses the component tower. Will it have new effects?
I think the answer is no. Just the AA railgun (upgrade)

Yes, no sam tower for gdi. Everything stay same as in v1.4, stats, upgrades etc. i have just created new model for aa battery to match others is style. (i have never really liked original anyway)

the AA model looks very similar to the other one when not upgraded yet. how about the same tower but different cannon like the NOD AA or the original TS ?

Will the Component Towers finally be able to be built into walls, like in Tib Sun? Or is there a technical issue keeping that from happening?
P.S. I saw the guy over at Tiberian Apocalypse has Component Towers that have a base and you lay an attachment on top, perhaps you could ask him how he did that?

Vulcan and AA gun look too much like each other. It would be quite hard to spot from max zoom-out level.
The new AA-Turret Model is way better than the old one. As you could build it into walls..

so that you can upgrade them into defence towers.

i agree but i would like to add if you keep the missile sam and have the guns as a selectable upgrade (only the ones you want) then when you buy the railgun upgrade it makes the machinegun into railguns so you can have missiles and railguns
It's always bugged me how the original TW AA cannon for GDI looked liked it could of fired on ground units. Small idea more than likely to be rejected by everyone, but why not remove the vulcan turret and replace it with the AA which can fire at both ground and air? But that said. a rail gun firing base defence for early game isn't exactly balanced lol, uhmm, yeah forget i said anything.
cant you make that the base defenses use for a secondery wall hub ?
I think it will be important to make the barrels on the AA cannon always point in a diagonal direction, like around 30-45 degrees upwards, such that they can never point horizontally, this small change will help us distinguish them from the vulcan cannon, and also give the AA a more practical approach as it will always be pointing diagonally up waiting for enemy aircraft.
