This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.
Just fast probationary, tentative taste of work adding Tacitus Archive to two official maps.
Outgame files- official maps and its files- I cannot rename them, otherwise the map will not show ingame, when setting up skirmish.
So dont get confused that when extracting uploaded file you see "map_mp_4_bender",
instead of "TE Middle Egypt".
Ingame, the skirmish will have its proper name, I gave it: TE Middle Egypt
Its a new added map, the contents of original map "The Battle for Middle Egypt" stays unchanged.
Oh damn, this were supposed to be already in the description. xd
And sorry for startling you with such "false" update.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Open the rar.-file using WinRAR or total comander
2. Paste the folder "map_mp_4_bender.rar" into the following folder:
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR NAME]\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Maps
Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8
C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Maps
nice keep them coming!
Dont want to be rude, but anyone can do it.
So entire community could show some work too.
If I will do more and people will start:"Put this here, not here, add these, blah, blah, blah, etc.", then I'll start feeling pretty ingratitude.
The best way how to do this, is to do it for yourself.
In all due to respect.
But I do plan to keep 'em commin'. :D
Still doesnt work i do everything but am stil lgetting the vanilla middle egypt help!!!
Are you sure its the vanilla middle Egypt, or perhaps your settings are set up such that the Tacitus Archive is invisible. If you set your Models to High, that should make it visible (also yes, this is an old post, but for those who might download this later I thought I'd mention it)
