We are in the process of making a new website and doing alot more to improve the "presentation" of the mod, we are also going to improve the level of media and more, if you would like to contribute to the mod, or have suggestions, visit our link to the forums and speak your mind, keep in mind that the new website will have a forum and that one will become obsolete and you will have to register again.

ok, so, I'm quite sure many of you are wondering
"how did this mod come to exist?"
"who came up with the idea?"
"why isn't someone else making it?"

In the official C&C forums, there was a lot of negative feedback on C&C4, ALOT. So, some forumite made a thread that was mainly about making a mod called C&C4 Redux, that thread got lost behind a bunch of hate threads 5 hours later...... that was.... until Coolness7 necroed the thread.

And there I was, almost as bored as a guy who just lost his job, looking through pages upon pages of threads and said, oh cool, this looks nice, and I bumped the thread to the first page, the thread received quite a bit of attention, basic questions were asked and answered. of course, random noobs & trolls started posting "good luck, i'll give it 2 months" and stuff like that. We talked about making a dev forum, who will do what, and how we would accomplish such an astounding feat that there were not even rumors about. I had a dream about making a huge mod, but first we had to assemble a team, a dedicated deam that would see this through the end and we would show the C&C community what it means to make a proper sequel to C&C3/KW. This mod is not about bashing EA or the C&C4 Dev Team, there's plenty of that on the official forums, lol, but rather about realizing a vision, a vision that thousands of C&C fans carry, possibly millions. It all starts here, and here I am, typing this wondering if a couple of germans thought of this before we did and are doing it in secrecy. -Coolness7, Director of Tiberian Eclipse.

Not exactly, I google around and saw some couple of results of other mods using the same name. But those are FPS, so this might be the first for an RTS.

New forum? Wow, unexpecting, but oh well, I'll be ready to re-register once it's opened. ;)

I'm more wondering... Why do you randomly say Scrin support class? Eh? v1.0 theoretically has all sides done, then you'll chuck in a support class? Clarification?

Also, I'm curious to know whether you'll differentiate the classes (that you appear to be putting in) enough so that teamwork will be more of a requirement than suggestion?

teamwork was a requirement in C&C4, I want to steer away from that, personally, C&C for me was all about FFA, 1v1, 2v2, and even 1v2 combat, the teamwork aspect of the mod can be explored but not required like in C&C4TT, in that game, a 1v1 is almost impossible to play due to the extreme lack of units.

Also, we want to be able to do more, so that when the mod is done, we will be able to add extras, in 1.2, we want to try something new with a scrin support class so that we might be able to expand on that in 1.3, we really want feedback on how it plays so that we know how to push forward in 1.3.

C&C4 should've been (from my experience in a single hideous match in Beta) the ultimate look at the diverging philosophies (both in unit design and doctrine) between all factions: the Brotherhood's fanaticism, cybernetic supremacy and Tiberium mastery; GDI's combined arms forces, powerful sleek air forces and orbital superiority.

(Left out Scrin because I havent much to say to them, not out of spite but genuine lack of anything to say, heh).

It should've focused on the final showdown between advanced militaries with nigh-unimaginable technologies afforded by Tiberium on a dying world. It should've been about building your base from which you'd conduct your little war across the map.

Above all, it should've had the dark believability, the authenticity of (not pure realism, granted) of how things worked, operated and conducted its purpose... NOT the 'RedAlertification' that #4 underwent, nor the terrible animations that made me cringe uncontrollably that I rage quitted the Beta.

These are my opinions, but I think they are fair and just opinions.

Is there a download version of TT up yet? I'd love to download it, the official one makes me throw up.

As for storyline stuff, I don't think the Scrin wouldn't be involved in the very beginning. In #3, the Scrin's version of EVA made sure that the Foreman saved the last Scrin Tower so he could escape the destruction that the rest of the Scrin forces on Earth had met. Therefore, I believe that a massive invasion force would be sent, probably via the tower that the Foreman would have used to escape.

If it would be possible, I would love animated cutscenes (I know you can't have the real Kucan on there) that would properly explain who he is.

People tell me I'm pretty good at writing stories, so I'd be happy to offer my services and right a proper storyline for C&C 4.

Can't wait for a C&C4 that's worthwhile shows up. Keep up the good work!

The mod is not completely ready yet, it's still "To Be Decided". This mod project is very huge since it's a total makeover of the entire C&C4 game, so an early test is not possible. Not to mention we got tons of C&C4 units (especially the crappy looking ones) needs remodeling.

Storyline wise, we're not sure, things are going fine, you can join the official forum or speak to Spider_Pig_Rocks about it. ;)

It is kind of funny, but I don't think it was quite pleasing, especially people should know that the Tiberian Twilight name was found by Brett Sperry in 1999 first before the novel in 2005.

So those vampire Twilight fans or non-Westwood EA fans should STFU. Sue Brett if they have a problem of who rip off the Twilight name in the first place.

For this mod, at least you renamed it as Tiberian Eclipse, a replacement to the now-already-bad & disgraceful Tiberian Twilight. Frankly and honestly, the ONLY thing EA followed in Westwood's footsteps was by giving us Brett's Tiberian Twilight name, the rest (Gameplay, boxart, unit designs, etc..) are all by EA themselves when they should have 100% follow Westwood. *face palms*
