Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.

Actually the predecessor this is a Prototype like the Mammoth Mk2 is a prototype both being used in the field, this is cutting edge technology in Tiberian Sun newest developments. But by the time of the Third Tiberium War GDI was streamlining their army and cutting back on overly expensive toys and using cheaper to mass-produce designs and materials. By the time of the third war GDI had streamlined production but at the cost of specialised technology in the suit to achieve mass production. The more cost-effective suit lead to the development of the Zone Trooper.

While the Commando received a less bulky suit which increased his mobility, allowed him to have jump jet short hops and be able to place C4 all while wearing a newer thinner suit. The Havoc Armor lead to the development of the more integrated Commando suit we see in C&C3;. Also influenced by the Commando's themselves that were starting to feel they had become too reliant on technology and wanted to get a more hands-on touch.

Im just showing we do consider lore rationalization carefully when we add/change things for Tiberian Sun Rising.

so it seems my guess was correct,

what I meant by Zone Trooper MK II was also in reference to Mammoth MK II which was phased out due to obvious reasons as stated above by you and then the Mammoth Tank took its place instead (its sometimes considered as MK III)

the Zone Trooper armour we get to see in C&C 3 is the MK III variant of Zone Trooper armour developed by Steel Talons (Obviously being named different)

I'm happy that you guys are making sure to keep connections to lore shared across different times in C&C Universe.

Description

The "Havoc" Armor or Suit is the cutting edge in GDI's technology. Extraordinarily expensive to produce but General Brigadier Nick Parker headed up the project to provide only the best for the GDI's Commandos. "With the increasing threats of Tiberium we had to respond with a present of our own" said the General. Commando's take years to train they are some of our most valuable troops and take at least a decade to replace and thats if they even make the cut. We can't have Tiberium Fiends or other nasties just tearing a Commando down before he knows whats hit him. Also Nod's stealth technology has become so rampant we also needed to kit out our Commando's with some gear to detect their presense so they dont get caught unawares.
