Hm, I like the detail. Very nice model.
I hope the flamethrowers retract when it goes underground?

I must say that you have the best dt there is. TE has a good one as well but this keeps the TS look, only upgraded.

One more thing. Will you balance out these guys. The continuous flame is rather overpowered.

It fires continuous flames, and bursts when upgraded with plasma-flamethrowers.

However I've reduced the dealt damage, so they don't instapwn a whole base, and concrete plates are making a comeback.

Excelent idea with the concrete plates! Plus the bursts is what I talk about. I loked that in older cncs everything fired in birsts, even infantry.

They're nice.
Is the Nod symbol added yet or is that coming later?
You going for small Devil's Tongue?
Your Devil's Tongue is almost too 'nice' at the moment, not enough mean about it (a size increase would make it more imposing instantly).

Also interested to see what you come up with for underground travel.

for underground travel, it's just a special ability that switches between burrowed and normal, it's the same on both the Devi's Tounge and the Tick Tank, although the Devil's Tounge digs in completely.

Also the Devil's Tounge is already bigger than any Nod vehicle in vCnc3 :P

The size is fine. Making it too long would make it look stupid and in real life just a bigger target.

What nonsense! and a 'real life' reference to boot!
Cnc-source.com
I find it funny that if the Mammoth MkII is not modelled at the 'FMV-render' scale, TS fans are ready to burst into tears. How about a few of the other vehicles?

And to be frank, the tiny Devil's Tongue looks stupid and makes little sense in terms of the size:power ratio of the grinders.

It is not important, I know at least one mod will have a Devil's Tongue that is large.

Did you completely ignore what I said? This Devil's Tounge is HUGE, compared to other Nod vehicles in TW.

It's not huge IMO. It's larger than other Nod vehicles, so what?
The only image with another vehicle close to it, suggest it is slightly larger. However that could be because of the angle of the screen shot.

It's your mod, I have nothing further to say on the subject.

All Nod vehicles in TA are bigger than those in TW. And the Devil's Tounge is so far the biggest, and barely fits through the War Factory door.

I kinda get this feeling that this take on NOD armor is not advancing on any new technologies or really anything. This might fit well in a Kanes Wrath prequel era but i don't see any real build up on NOD technologies or really any real advancement in this redesign scheme so far considering mods like Tiberium Essence has gone this direction already and mods like Tiberian Sun Rising is pulling the advanced Tib sun feeling already. This is starting to feel like everyone is beating on the same dead horse.

Let me explain it this way Everyone loves a TS design but it's a new generation here.

EA did a smart thing and backed up reasoning for all of their unit changes with the intelligence database in game. People may or may not like the new GDI or NOD changes but at least there are both dev reasons and an in game explanation of why units are the way they are in game.

You should really show a significant generation leap if you are going to go ahead and clone units from Tib Sun. Show that they aren't the same unit anymore and have clear define roles and excel at them or show they adapted new combat roles. Give them a whole new feel vs TS. There is no reason you shouldn't

So far I've not cloned a single thing directly from TS. Everything either functions or looks somewhat, or entirely, different to their TS-precursors, some more than others. And you are judging the entire faction by these 3 vehicles?

Also Nod will be, design wise, very close to TS, while GDI will have advanced more, as they did between TD and TS: Nod still felt pretty modern, with a few exceptions, while GDI literally went spacey.

Im just expressing concern about direction of the faction is all. those may be 3 units but NOD MBTs are what you see a lot. Just expressing concern. Will see how it plays out once you have more units out and structures to fit it but for now thats my base concern. Im also stating this concern on the fact NOD has always 1uped GDI in terms of their technology level.

Never in terms of look however. With a few exeptions (Banshee, Temple of Nod, Cyborgs), GDI stuff in TS at least looked more advanced, despite using lower-tech weapons.

Also in terms of canon this is the MK III devils tongue. The very first Flame Tank in CNC is called the Devils tongue Flame Tank in documentation.

Take a very good look at the first Command and Conquer and Command and Conquer Renegade. You'll see just how far in tech NOD is compared to GDI. I mean come on now. A tower that shoots a concentrated laser beam at its targets is ages beyond what the US Military has in its arsenal right now. Its just GDI has much more firepower. The only thing holding NOD back is that its a cult and not a government run entity with a full military backing.

I wasn't talking about technology, I was talking about Looks. And in TS, GDI LOOKED overally more advanced than Nod, even tho they weren't.

Im trying to state GDI looked much more muscular then NOD over the ages while NOD takes a sleek low profile and high tech look over GDI. GDI may be spacey in ways but that my not be more high tech in my opinion.

actually if u think about how much land and resources gdi has compared to nod, the fact that nod is still there fighting shows how advanced they are

let me be more blunt about it. Their appearance in default C&C3 is appropriable to how long they have had to advance all their technologies even further. GDI In Ops refers to NOD research methods as ruthless high pace and efficient.
