I assume it has the same principle of the firestorm wall generator. But instead of projecting a wall of energy it projects a stream of pure energy able to slice through even the most tick armors.

I do want to see how the particles and effects of this defense turret firing.

Nearly, it fires Antimatter 'pulses' at the target, just like the Firestorm wall erects a wall of antimatter.

Speaking of the Firestorm wall, will it be reintroduced ?

It always bogged me why EA phased it out of the further C&C without giving any explanations.

Energy efficiency, it had none. I read that somewhere, don't remember where, intel file probably.

This looks perfect.

I guessed EA didn't bring the Fire Storm Generator because they couldn't be arsed to to the programming. EA likes making games they are easy to design and makes a lot of quick cash.

No wonder their games also tend to suck when they put too much pressure on the dev teams.

EA's pressure really hurt the EALA dev team a lot. It finally showed in CnC4 which was the final game they had to make before they were for the most part let go because of EA budget cuts.

EA probably scrapped it because it didn't have anywhere to be used in a competitive arena for one and two the only people who would use them would be people who played a skirmish game just to show it off.In the end it wasn't practical for players to use.

This idea of firestorm weapons is an interesting one as Firestorm Weapons have no defined energy type other then being disruptive energy fields that deter projectiles. I can see it emitting streams of energy to slice open things or fire off energy fields that encompass enemy units inside of destructive energy fields further breaking them down should they survive the cannon blasts. To keep its firestorm nature you would want to be careful with playing with it because of friendly fire with firestorm was always a problem.

Whatever use you make it for. Its a good positive step for a forgotten technology although they did use it later in Kanes Wrath in the final mission of the game.
