Making Havoc look like a sissy since 2011.

Can he fly? :D

Hmm, also I'm counting a minigun, rocket pods and... a railgun?

That just upped the already deadly level of a Commando to way, way up there. It's very reasonable for the GDI techs to slap these many weapons to a soldier who is one of the 2% who even survive Commando training. Never quite understood why they wouldn't get something bigger than a Carbine rifle and detonation packs.

In C&C Tiberium Dawn they got demolition charges along with a heavy sniper rifle.
In C&C Tiberium Sun GDI's ghoststalker had demo charges and a portable rail gun prototype
In C&C Tiberium Wars GDI's commando had Jump pack, demo charges and a full automatic rail rifle able to shred infantry in a single burst.

Plus Commandos can be about being bulky heavy infantry or doom on legs, they usually are/were used as infiltration and sabotage units, but this is less of a rule but more of a combat philosophy(The Tib sun Nod cyborg commando is the perfect example)

This particular commando looks more like super heavy infantry packing heavy firepower to match a Nod Cyborg commando in sheer destruction power.

interesting..... I don't know about it being the commando

I don't mind the idea of a special GDI mechanized infantry unit to be brought onto the battlefield, but just 1 guy and that's the commando?

Why can't there be a squad of them like when RA2 had Tanya they also had SEAL teams that did just as well. Or even the chrono legionnaire.

No offence but I believe the GDI commando would not be strapped into a massive machine he would be a bit like the TW commando but maybe with some more improvements to his gear.

Hard to see him doing spec ops in that.
But never the less its pretty epic.

If you can pull this off, I'd be very very impressed. I like the idea of a mech commando, but at the same time, he is doing covert ops, and this might be a bit bulky.

Keep this idea, but play with it differently. Perhaps both a Commando with a railgun that does covert ops and a Commando that has this mechanized powersuit?

Actually, the GDI commando isn't going to do covert-ops. This is Havoc 2.0, not Ghoststalker's mini-me :P

Havoc was a GDI covert operative though. But this does seem interesting though.

Well. His only covert-op was when they were going to get out Mobius - and that one failed :P

All of his operations were done in a covert matter except possibly the third mission of the game where you're given a significant force to help you advance. Covert doesn't mean it had to happen in stealth. It happens under cover of a main engagement between the 2 factions as not to draw immediate attention to itself allowing him to go snoop around and cause trouble inside of NOD territory.

As for this Unit design. You should compact it and make it look like it could be more armored and contained and not so vulnerable and easy to break. Integrated weapon systems for a power armor are fine and all but it looks like it has too many spots weapons could be easily destroyed off the unit making it completely vulnerable. If they were actually arm based or more properly shoulder mounted. It wouldn't give that impression too much.

The 105mm is mounted quite solidly onto the exoskeleton, which is mostly armor anyway, and the minigun isn't all too easy to take off either.

Too bad, I really wanted a commando that's a viable covert-opp asset, not just another super-heavy infantry unit. :/

Now you're talking ;)
But perhaps give it a railgun? A tank cannon strapped onto a personal armor is kind of weird, no matter how big and heavy the armor is. :?

So is he going to use all of those at once? Because I think he should be only able to use one at a time, and have a second or so delay when he switches weapons so he ain't a kill-everything machine.

It's supposed to be a kill-everything machine, to counter the Nod cyborg commando.

I'd use this even if it was one troop. I never used the original commandos of tib wars died too fast to really be able to do anything so they couldnt even fulfill the commando role they were more heavy rifleman sqaud. my idea of a commando is the clone commandos they infiltrate and what not but have an insane amount of firepower at their disposal when they need it. I think Nod and GDI have the tech to make modular weapons

No, I got the idea from Act of War's SHIELD units, and the base for the design from a concept on ConceptRobots.

Maybe something else as the primary weapon on the Avatar since laser's make for horrible weapons. Better for destroying missles or surgical damage to vehicles especially light vehicles

I was actually thinking more along the lines of a PPC but plasma cannon works. I guess PPC would be more GDI then Nod. It wouldn't be that far fetched to pretty much take a good amount of the battletech(mechwarrior/commander) universe weaponry and put it in CnC

PPC? Particle Projector Cannon? The Ion Cannon is just that.

Nod has had Plasma weaponry since TS tho.

I would likely recommend some kind of large tank to an avatar. EA really screwed up on that account.

Kane himself says in Firestorm (or was it just straight tib sun, been awhile sense I played it) that he is a collector of tanks.

As much as a tank sounds nice. The Avatar walker itself is as much of a figure to NOD as it is a weapon of war. EA I can't say EA screwed that up being the Avatar has since its inception been a rather iconic NOD unit. Something its lacked in the past.

Big tanks are always nice but a walker almost instantly has a much more imposing figure since it more often then not stands above most other tanks and easily can be identified and can be much more fearsome then any tank when done right. it can be given human or inhuman design that any other armored vehicle can't really give off.

I intend to give the Avatar a place in Nod, but not the CnC3 Avatar, but a "de-toyed" CnC4 avatar.

This is just my opinion but GDI Should have a Heavy Commando
the one in TW & KW had a poor performance it can died by mass tier 1 infantry and NOD light armor without
putting a dent on it !!, but the nod commando has a laser that over time can destroy GDI light armor if garrisoned and GDI is normally about big guns

so it make scenes that GDI has a Commando unit based on GDI's legendary commando(Havoc, Nick Parker) that loves to blow things up and is a Front line shock trooper infantry.

Well that just my opinion but GDI also has different Commando units
take the Dead six for example.
(for does that do not know the game c&c renegade the Dead six were GDI commandos that had there own field of specialty)

But great model Helge129 you have to be without a question one of the greatest if not the best mod makers I ever seen
