Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.
Thanks to all of your amazing support, we've made it into the Top 100 in MotY for the third year in a row with Imperial Civil War, and also for the first time since its announcement this year with Ascendancy. Thanks to everyone who voted!
So to thank everyone, here's one of the new Pentastar Capital Ships coming in 2.1, the Lucrehulk. Model by Davis.
Remember to keep voting in the Top 100!
I have seen something similar somewhere else :D
Well, I'm sure one of the two dozen Clone Wars mods has done a Lucrehulk before, however this is the first time we've ever posted this model.
Of the two dozen Clone Wars mods out there that have attempted it, I'd have to say this is one of the finest Lucrehulk models I've seen.
I agree with you.
Sweet. How many star fighters are you planning on this carrying?
Quite a few, however the release will be staggered. This is definitely not a carrier you can just drop the fighters out of and then send it to its death.
If you want to go for sheer overwhelming numbers of starfighters, then the Venator will remain the Pentastar's best option. This is going to be more for sustained fighters and also increasing individual effectiveness of those fighters.
AWESOME! So will it have Droid Starfighters or some other fighters like TIEs?
The fighters will be pulled from the existing rosters of PA units (including what we add for them in 2.1)
Really nice model, but when would this ship have been used after the Clone Wars?
Many of them were bought by the Corporate Sector Authority, and since the Pentastar Alignment doesn't benefit from era changes in the same way the other factions do (they merged after era 2 with the reborn Emperor's forces; we don't do this since it's the starting point that matters and the player as the faction leader doesn't make the choice to give up their whole faction, obviously) we instead decided that expansion into the Corporate Sector would make most sense, since they were both sort of organized around the same economic activies. The extra ships the Pentastar gains come from the Corporate Sector's canon roster, and are obtained by building them in any CSA territory the PA controls.
Oh I see. Cool.
Looks good. You know, I always thought the Lucrehulk was the weirdest cruiser I'd ever seen. When I first saw it, I thought it was a space station(Episode 1), but when I found out it was a ship, I was all like "Say wha'?". I still can't get over it being a ship. George Lucas works in mysterious ways.
I know I'm still surprised it's a space ship to this day
How many starfighters and which types.
Are we also going to see other CIS capital ships for the PA? Like the invisible Hand class ships?
Wonderful. And, unlike any other models I've ever seen done, the core in the middle actually looks circular.
Awesome. Can't wait to see this thing in action.
when is 2.1 released
Sometime in the future.
Or the past. We haven't decided yet.
Don't ruin the surprise.
Always kept 2 or 3 Venators in each Pentastar fleet. Reckon I'll add 2 more of these. Thank you for the info
So in question of strength, would this be comparable to an ISD (taking the fighter complement into account)?
At any individual time, probably not.
Along with the Strident, this is one of my favourite Star Wars ships :D it looks awesome :D how will she be armed?
Hopefully canonically... ;)
i want the new version pleas update it
We have to finish the new version first before we can update it.
can .corey. and crew give some details on the lucerhulk's weapons? what kind ov turbo lasers and ion cannons it will have, single barrel, double barrel, or quad barrel?
