Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

The first of the new units for the Pentastar Alignment in 2.1, the V-19 Torrent. Model by Guardsman, skin by Enceladus. The Republic insignia has been removed since the render.

I'd say yes. It's almost mandatory for a Torrent.
Probably not. From what I know, they didn't function like an X-Wing did, on a Torrent they were just for takeoff/landing.
On the clone wars cad bane locked them mid during a flight in space to dock with a hyper space ring

Beautiful model. How would the fighters compare to others in game though, since cannonically the V19 was outclassed by even the TIE fighter...?
It's probably going to be "modified" so it fights better.
Quite possibly... but surely there must be a limit. It might be the case that they're used in overwhelming numbers...?
