Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

I'm a little fuzzy on the Corporate Sector, but I was never under the impression that they had a lot in the way of big, ISD-sized ships, or ways to really deal with them. Curious to see what y'all have come up with.

They had the Invincible-class Dreadnoughts, the Cutlass-class cruiser, Clone Wars era ships from both the Repbulic and the CSA as well as the 520 Victoria I Star Destroyers and a few Imperial Class Star Destroyers they purchased from the Empire and numerous corvettes and frigates.

The CSA was, overall, better equipped than the Rebel Alliance.

Those Invincible-class Dreadnoughts are even older than the Regular Dreadnaught but they are big (2000+ meters) and still pack quite a punch.
No to mention they have lots of old Lucrehulks, several Victory I-class SDs and possibly even some Providences and Venators.

All right, it's the Hipster CIS!

In all seriousness though, I can't wait to see how they're implemented. The CSA has been in my opinion a criminally underused faction in both "Legends" and the current continuity. They make for excellent antagonists as demonstrated in the Han Solo Adventures, what with their ruthless pursuit of profit and brutal suppression of dissent.

The CSA has been in the works for quite awhile now. Nice that they're getting a full "playable" release! :D
Corey and the TR mod team are always doing something awesome to the mod, and they very, very rarely ever cease to amaze me.
The CSA has been around for quite awhile as an emergent faction. Specifically (for certain) in; "The Hunt for Zsinj", IF Zsinj himself is killed while Zsinj's empire is still in possession of the 3 primary CSA planets in the North-East of the Galaxy.

Although, my favorite little feature re: the CSA is that upon taking those planets (in certain GC's), and completing construction of the requisite shipyards, you will then have (upon THOSE CSA planets ONLY) the ability to construct Lucrehulk's.
I always loved using those pretty suddenly upon capturing and building the prerequisites for them! :D :D

I am, in fact, playing Thrawn's Revenge as I type this.. And have every intention of saving my current game, checking for a potential update via the steam workshop.. and starting a new game as the CSA! :D
Should prove to be a lot of fun!
Although, I suppose it warrants asking...
... weren't the "Hapans" meant to be one of, if not THE next planned playable faction????

Hapans are next for Ascendancy. They should be making their way to ICW eventually.

My question is how would their campaign function from a lore perspective what Heroes would they have, what would be their goals and what story could you tell with the CSA, they are a rather obscure faction even by EU standards

There won't be as many heroes and story events for the CSA as some factions, but they'll have a few. For starters, Angela Krin will be leaving Zsinj and becoming a full time CSA employee.

I'm curious though about their motives the CSA was never outwardly expansionist, they were mostly focused on protecting what they had, same with the Happens by the way

Description

With the final changes for the 2.2.5 patch in testing, we've started moving into production on 2.3 in the developer builds. A lot of the changes we're focusing on will be to improve upon and flesh out what's there (including increasing the diversity between existing factions, and more specialized roles for existing ships), but there will be a new, ninth playable faction joining in the fray- the Corporate Sector Authority. We should have a new post covering who they are and what else you can expect from 2.3 fairly soon.
