We here on the Thousand Banner team are striving for uniqueness and one of the way we’re doing that is by making this world into a feudal hell hole comparable to that of the Sengoku Jidai period in Japan. Just a decade before our story takes place there was a powerful and tyrannical empire that was conquering all of the continent. The nobles of the continent knew the only way to survive was to call on all the banners. From the northern coast feudal lords to the southern desert theocratic dukes an alliance was formed. With all the nobles of the continent working together the empire was defeated and a few years of pure peace was achieved. Sadly that came crumbling down when something as small as a suspicious murder at the tournament of Carlisle turned the independent lords against each other. This incident spread like a cancer and slowly the entire continent was filled with independent nobles going to war with each other. Nobles with land as small as a tiny village were proclaiming themselves kings and it only got worse. The actual kingdoms that had vassal lords were falling apart because their vassals started claiming independence. Are you going to unify the continent once again, or revel in the chaos of war?
