I'm curious why you decided on a crown for Cardolan, and why the change from Gundabad to Angmar. :)

i bet it's because the Kingdom of Angmar/of the Witch-king, had a bigger impact in the wars in the north, they destroyed completely the kingdom of Arnor. Also, i think that the Kingdom of Angmar extended to Gundabad, not sure though. This is just my opinion

Reason for Cardolan having a crown is mostly that I made it before Arthedain. First concepts were more like Breeland in DaC, then antlers and as place between those looked empty I added crown. But eventually I did drop the antlers and made the crown larger.
And as crown was now used for Cardolan I desided to design Arthedain after Arnor, which is descriped "The emblem of the realm of Arnor was a star, symbolizing Gil-Estel, the Star of Eärendil". Then I added the tree from the shields seen in the last alliance. Then to fill the empty corners I just wrote Arnor in tengwar script and broke it to four parts.

Good; all know the Princes of Cardolan were the true heirs of Valandil, after all!

Indeed. Gundabad at least appeared to be in Angmar.

they are pratically neighbours! The Witch-king used to go to Gundabad borrow some butter in the morning when he forgot to go shopping the previous day.

Very nice.. And I think the Dunlendings should get their own faction too, they had been in conflict with the Rohirrim since the Second Age

Yup!!! A Dunlending faction with anti-calvary power would be awesome!!
