Third Age Reforged 0.96.1 Hotfix (VOID) file

Important Note: Make sure you have WinRAR or Winzip or 7zip installed on your computer (they are FREE you dont need to register). This will allow you to extract the downloaded files from their ZIP packs.
Please make sure to follow the exact instructions to avoid complications.

Do you know that *mellon* means friend in Sindarin and Noldorin.

Step 1: Download the Third_Age_Reforged Patch 0.96.1
("You need to have Third_Age_Reforged 0.95 or 96 installed")

Step 2: First unpack the Third_Age_Reforged_961.zip to location of your choosing

Step 3: Open the Third Age Reforged 961.exe file and run it.

Password into Reforged: Write, *mellon*, and install.

Step 4: if you have steam installed on another location than default, you can see the correct path by opening steam - library - right click Medieval II Total War - properties - local files - browse local files
Note that installer should warn that "The selected folder already exists. Would you like to install to that folder anyway?" This means that the path is correct

Step 5: Go to your Steam Library and right-click on Medieval II Total War, select Properties, and then Set Launch Options. Insert the following string:
--features.mod=mods/Third_Age_Reforged

Step 6: Once you have done this, you will be able to launch the game by choosing the first option when launching the game on Steam. The option will simply say "Play Medieval II: Total War". This will override the default Medieval II game, so if you wish to launch the original game after installing the mod, simply remove the string from the Launch Options you inserted in Step 5.

Step 7: Choose download region on steam: UK London (the most used in the commuity)

Step 8: Change your graphics to the MULTIPLAYER settings if your playing with more than 4 players.

All Dual wielding units have been given 2 extra MD to balance their animation delay

Mercenary Warchiefs MD increased from 6-> 8

New cave trolls for misty and rebels. Wink wink bfme2 !

Elite sword and shield units got shield wall instead of schiltrom.

Spearmen bodyguards without bows got shield wall instead of schiltrom.

Olog hai and troll drummer animation fixes include: better weighting skeleton, and most importantly: distance traveled increased for animations, no more weird running

Projectiles:

All fire arrows are now around 30% less accurate than regular arrows and are slower aswell.

Dragonslayers can shoot properly now.

Umbar corsairs shoot properly aswell!
