This mod will be taking the base game and bringing it to DirectX 9.0c at first to enable the use of Shader Model 3.0. This will allow for Parallax/Displacement Mapping or maybe Relief/Offset Bump Mapping, Procedural Textures(maybe), Subsurface Scattering and Transparent Materials. I will do my best to reach out to and collaborate with more devs to bring HDR, Soft Shadows, and High Precision Rendering to the game. I will look into relief mapping with self shadowing or steep parallax as an alternative to POM. This should allow for a more modern look to the game as well as improving the look of characters and the environment.

A little bit of info about the lack of more updates!

I just moved jobs and and moved into a different house and things have been rather chaotic. I have not had access to internet and my PC keeps BSODing. Once all is settled and done hopefully this weekend on 9/20 0r 21 I should be able to pick it up a little bit :) I am still looking into DX9 wrappers for the game as it seems that using DX10 as was done for Deus Ex and Rune recently will not be possible due to a lack of source code access for this engine version. Most likely the enb series injector will be the best solution for this game. It seems that Radeon Pro is also currently making the game crash so I will look into this with the creator and see if the tool can be updated to be compatible with Thief:DS.
