We hope there are some people who like spells and magic weapons.
One thing is certain. You can have so much fun with this mod!

We give our character hands. The hands give the player a totally different gameplay feeling. It gives you more a feeling of control and power. With all these magic weapons and spells the character is more like a mage and not like Garrett the master thief. We know that. But this mod is to have fun. At the moment we are not sure how we will release this mod. Maybe it's better to make a Fan Mission with all these spells. It will take time but it's the better way. We will see...

This project shows also what is possible with the NewDark Patch!

It's NO new version of the HD mod. But it requires a HD mod installation. This mod is optional for everyone. Also this is a demo preview! This mod project is not finished (work in process!) You can leave us a comment and tell us what do you think about this idea.

Don't forget "annoying", "unrealistic" and "unnecessary".

Thank you for your comment. We are planning to make a Fan Mission with all these spells and weapons. So it will not be released for the original game. The hands will be optional too :)

Oh, that makes a lot more sense! Good to know.
Hey, sorry about my rude comment. I guess seeing those hands triggered some strong emotional response in me because of the resemblance with Thief (2014).
Anyways, best of luck with your work in this mod.
I'll follow the development, as always.

Hey guys it is all good but I am more concerned about making the game too easy.

Basically from your video I have seen how the hero can kill/disable 10-12 units at a time. What I like about this game is its difficulty. Dont ruin it.
Probably make them with finite charges or single units only.

Also the pistol does not seem ok as it is very easy to use and the AI responds as it heard player movement when it hears the shots which is weird (technically the shots compromise player place but also should send a warning of immidiate danger so the AI should try to negate it, for example hide?). Another idea is that when shooting the whole castle/area is brought under alarm due to the high noise guns make.
Combine this with limited rounds and it may even out the advantage of the gun. Also that one shot one kill is not very good too.

Nice to see all your effort and what is possible with the New Dark! On the other hand I'm glad this is optional, as it makes the game completely easy and stealth totally unnecessary. I think this would more fit into a custom FM than the original games. The hands should stay optional also ;)

The spells might not be as lore friendly but the Magic arrows certainly are. I wouldn't mind see some of those arrows scattered around the game.
