This is the full Installer Setup of version 1.2
The HD Mod is now compatible with Thief: The Dark Project and Thief Gold
Because of to many changes there is no patch from version 1.0 to 1.2!

- added new blood FX for Garrett
- added new cobweb attack FX on red spiders

- added improved water textures (because of lightmapped water the transparency was reduced a bit)
- added new zombie models from T2X (you can cutting off their arms and head. If a zombie loses both arms he can´t fight with you. The new zombies can spit upon you.

- the Watchman's Grave lucky coins will actually be visible after placing them into the bowl

Released shortly after I added all the FM's for both versions of Thief :) and on my b-day.
Anyway to turn off the killable zombies along with candles being unlit? I understand where you are coming from but it does upset the gameplay and balance.
Don't get me wrong though, I love this mod.
The new zombies will be optional in the next mod version :)

I recently played through Thief again, and I've used the 1.2 verson of this mod. Had a fun time, the new textures and effects are much appreciated. Darn, even 20 years later this game is still scary as heck. Ran into an issue with the zombies, though. After they got up again, a lot of them were just t-posing, standing in place. They would still turn and look at me, just doing nothing (not even moaning). Creepy, but immersion breaking.
someone can tell me how i should setup the HDMOD 1.2 with NecroAge in the mod path? there is some issue with that?

you can't combine HDMOD with NecroAge mod.
Everything seems to install fine but anything I try to adjust settings in the NewDark Graphics Settings, it just gives me
Example: trying to turn Vsync on in the settings
Error: File name or class name not found during Automation operation: 'CreateObject'

i am still looking at what could be wrong but any ideas on what to do would be solid.

*update* Well I believe I figured a way around the issue(I think), for some reason the NewDark Graphics interface doesn't seems to not work or get errors but when i go to the folder with the NewDark Settings VBScripts, it works when I click on each VBS individually.
If you installed the game under C:\Program Files\ you have to run 'NewDark Graphics Settings' as administrator.
So how is the next mod version?
Please also add option to disable english language strings etc.
I would love to use this mod with an unofficial language on steam. :)

How is it that zombies are still killable? i thought this would be optional and if so how do i do that?
Also the mod to enable you to be able to cut off their head and arms and let them spit isnt working. Overall the zombies are very bugged. I installed Tfix and this HD mod on a completely fresh install, also not in program files its on my separate hdd. Any ideas?
love the textures but the fact zombies die and moan on the floor is ruining the difficulty i want to play the game at.

To be honest I dream of combining your fantastic textures with necroage's models.
Is that possible?
i´ve already try this today, its not perfect but works in a certain way
in the last line of cam_mod.ini i put this
mod_path NecroAge/Thief1+hdmod+NecroAge
this shows the HD MOD textures combined with zombies from NecroAge (and some mixed textures between both mods)
there are some others combinations..
remember always Backup your original cam_mod.ini Just in case
Hello Bentraxx, I love the HD texture mod its 99% perfect.
However I have seen other people comment on this also and it's game breaking for me.
The zombies are broken. They die which is not what they originally do unless holy water is used. This needs to be an option and not set to on by default as I believe me and many others want a vanilla experience.
Also the zombies don't actually die they come back to life but are stuck laying down making noises and some even turn their head to face me whilst they're on the floor. On the second mission the Hammerites still try to attack the zombies when they are making noises on the floor.
I really hope you can give me a fix or have an update as you mentioned in a response to another comment? Because I love the textures and everything else but this zombie nonsense is stopping me playing.

Hey Bentraxx! The mod is awesome, buuut I came across an issue. Specifically when it comes to rope arrows.
I discovered this problem on the Bonehoard level where, despite it being a wooden surface, I couldn't have the rope arrow work. Every time I shot the arrow at the wooden paneling on the ceiling or on a ledge where it should've been able to work, it didn't. (Mainly on the lighter-colored surfaces, the dark-colored wooden surfaces at the beginning of the level by contrast, worked fine.) Of course, jumping down to get two of the "eye" gemstones within the tomb, I couldn't climb back up as a result, was stuck and couldn't really do much else. It works fine however -as I've tested- for the original version and I don't have the issue there.
I would love to see The Lantern item be added to every level for Thief Gold, not just Break from Cragscleft Prison
