This was a really impressive mod. I was shocked of what it gave to me and it actually scared the living **** out of me in some parts. The stories you offered was really nice. I liked every single one, as they're interesting, intense and scary.

But, as pretty much every mod, it comes with its flaws. I began raging a little bit when I came into the very cool looking machine room. I placed the cogwheels and put the oil in the fuel machine and solved that puzzle in no time, but then it came over to those three wheels and four levers. I know that the note said it was to redirect sewer water, and that each lever corresponds as East, South, North and West. But what else? If there were any more clues on how to do it, where were they? It seemed more like a guessing game there, and there were so many combinations. Would recommend giving an extra clue there, since I don't even know if I solved it properly.

When I got to the barn, I really got myself immersed. The story in here was amazing and interesting that I had to read every note I found. The ritual room was really cool and I was about to encounter that brute. However, I encountered (I'm guessing) a bug. The brute was appearntly in love with the doorway and was stuck there for some reason. Also, why were there two brutes? There was one wandering in the forest and one walking inside the barn. Is there meant to be two?

Then the little maze, and I really did not expect this. That was the scariest part of the game I'm guessing and it scared the **** out of me thanks to that I accidently turned off my lantern. Had goosebumps for a while and had to rest for a bit before I continued. But also, those ghasts (I'm guessing they are) were very hard to see. They disappeared when you came up close to them and sometimes you can't see them if they're around the corner. I did it in two attempts however so it wasn't too big of a problem.

Then I got to where the system collapses and the level design becomes odd. I liked the ideas you provided, but this was more of a rage level to me than enjoyable. The parkour with the monoliths floating was quite difficult, maybe way too difficult than what it needs to be. But yet again, it wasn't a too big issue. And then I got to the candles in the dark. This was god damn hard. The pattern you've set out doesn't probably fit with the candles and its too hard to remember in the head. This took me about 20-25 attempts.

And then when I had to escape the whole trials area, that was almost even worse. Super hard to see where you had to go and unforgiving if you screw up. I didn't have too much issue with this either, but I can imagine a few who will cry of rage from this.

But overall, I really enjoyed this. This was a really nice custom story with a ton of potential. You guys have inspired me in my own work and I'm really glad I gave this a shot. However, personally I think that you could create all this in a couple of months if you're fast, not two and a half years. I understand you took long breaks in between, but I feel like you could've created more.

Maybe I'm just asking for too much, since I would love to play more of this. Just make sure there are not too much parkour and too hard puzzles in the future :P

Awesome. Simply, purely, indescribably awesome. I could not bring myself to play past the barn part, but I've seen the rest of the game. It's a masterpiece. 11/10.

More!!! I need more mods!

phenomenal, absolutely brilliant. This is one of the top 3-5 mods ive EVER played and ive played over 100 amnesia mods. The story was mind blowing, the pace was great and the length was solid. It is also incredibly unique.

This is a must play for all amnesia fans

A truly refreshing custom story! The story, the voice acting, really clever use of Amnesia textures . Seems like the great flood of Amnesia MODs has slowed down, and honestly - I think it is a good thing! Because now we have seen the usage of this great engine in so many ways (good and bad), that people got bored of MODs with no real story and not that good use of models and scripting. But I'd rather have a couple of really good custom stories per year, than dozens mediocres. And this CS is an excellent one!
I played many many MODs for Amnesia, and if someone asked me to make a top 5 list of Amnesia custom stories, "The Subconscious Trials" would DEFINITELY be on the list!

This was a very unique mod to me. especially sense most of the mods that I have played were very bad or just jumpscare after jumpscare. I also like that it is more on the long side, as I didnt finish it in 20 minutes like the usual amnesia custom story

Wow! This was way too much epic to be amnesia custom story :D You guys really did good work with this. This goes easily to my "Top 3" amnesia custom stories. This was really creative and very cool map designing. You really know how to use HPL Level editor :) 10/10 to me.

Dude, I gotta say, this was incredibly well done, and definitely worth the wait. I enjoyed every single second of it.

The story/back-story, was great, along with the voice acting, soundtrack, and level design for all of the maps. Even the maps that didn't make me trip balls, still amaze me, despite seeing the same Amnesia assets over and over again, and it indeed was a pleasant surprise to see custom textures. And of course, Amnesia is a horror game, and the horror was great also, and this mod did a really good job of getting me tensed up, making me believe something bad would happen.

The only problem I had was that the frame rate dropped a little bit during the anti-gravity level, but nothing I couldn't deal with. Once again great custom story. Props to everyone who was behind the development of it all, and I will definitely be tracking you from here on out.

Another victim of troll review bombing. Ignore that.

This is a great mod with unique style and interesting puzzles. What looked like a typical cliche story escalated into something great.
If only there weren't extremely big maps making FPS go down to 8-14 (RTX 3060). The gravity button puzzle was impossible to do without debug menu because I only had 2 fps.
