The Silent Cartographer: Evolved (TSC:E) is a ground-up reimagining of the classic Halo level. Along with an almost entirely custom content base, including high-fidelity models, textures, animations, visual effects, and sound design, TSC:E features all-new environments, a finely-tuned gameplay sandbox, and a wide array of well-hidden secrets.
TSC:E requires Halo Custom Edition, patched to version 1.0.10, and the Open Sauce game extension. TSC:E is *not* compatible with the Master Chief Collection!

Install guide:
This package contains only the TSC:E map file. If you've downloaded this, we're assuming you know where to put maps, and how to load them with the in-game console.
If you wanted a complete package with all prerequisite installers, and a main menu replacement for loading TSC:E, you can find one at Tsce.info!
Still here? You need to install Halo Custom Edition, patch 1.0.10, and Open Sauce, in that order. You can find installers here:
- Halo Custom Edition: Haloce3.com (other language releases are available there as well)
- Patch 1.0.10: Haloce3.com
- Open Sauce 4.0: Haloce3.com
- If you want a UI, we recommend the Universal UI: Hce.halomaps.org
After that, you can just drop b30_evolved.yelo into your "maps" folder, "game_difficulty_set" to "normal", "hard", "impossible", or "easy", and load with "map_name b30_evolved"!

Regarding non-English languages:
We have built the 1.4.1 release's map files with the intent of supporting non-English language versions of Halo CE (meaning you should not experience crashes, corrupt data, or other game-breaking issues). We have verified that they are playable in both Spanish and Chinese versions of the game; however, we do not have the capacity to to localize our English content base or test in every released language. Please reach out if you encounter game-breaking issues related to localization support!

My apologies for not noticing this question sooner. There is no non-OS version of the map for Custom Edition. However, we have released an MCC port which only requires the MCC version of Halo 1 on Steam:
