The Secret of the Village mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Terrible frame rate with this one. Seems the be the trend lately with creators caring very little or not at all concerning frame rate.

at the very beggining the story crashes

Done for playing this cs recently before watching the walkthrough. I can't rate this cs because it was set as "TBD".

Anyway, here are my thoughts about this custom story.

- Village design looks decent. It's quite laggy sometimes. Besides, some levels are bland and empty. Not to mention for bad lightings on anywhere else.
- I like how you highlighted some items for the quest. However, it makes the puzzle is way easier and more predictable.
- Some puzzles are unusual. Clock puzzle is unique idea for the game but dragging its arm was really hard to move.
- Some puzzle can be skipped. I didn't use unknown key for some door on the cellar to get crowbar and use it for jammed door on the 2nd floor of hotel. Although, you did nothing from that. You just lit the chandelier and that was it. Otherwise, the ending is still the same.
- My character moves slowly.
- You used some resident evil 2 music for any levels. It's not bad either but I heard this music many times from any custom stories that I've played. It's quite overuse for modding in Amnesia.
- Not very scary at all. It has only one monster encounter and it shows nothing but it walking somewhere else shortly.
- Some quotation was not removed when you done something. Just like you used acid on the door of the castle and it keeps saying "I need something to open it".
- Bad light rays on hotel.
- Atrocious flooring on tower. That floor looks thin. Additionally, the spiral staircase was submerged badly on the floor.
- The story seems unfinished. In general, it's plain simple and cliché.
- Short gameplay.

This custom story would be 3 out of 10 in my opinion. You made something potential for making custom story. You are quite creative for making puzzle. However, the story is really bad. You must improve it. That's important thing for the custom story. Also, take some time to improve in level designing as well. Peace.
