This image shows my launcher for the game and all the addons, please comment on what you think, even some new features, its just a simple little file that will give the user quick access to updates and new maps and stuff. It will help with adding your own content to Mortewood, and make an easy envirmonet for novive users to install updates, maps, extra mods, updates and so on.
Its in early beta, so please remember this before commenting.

Well im going to create it based of the idea of SMOD, like a base, so you can edit all the text files and create a launcher for your own mods, that will be done when i get it finished.
Ive just updated it so it recieved working updates, and has a thing for newly created maps that i think deserve to be shown when the mod is released!

u should make exacly like Dead rising, make cops that have batons and ur guy can take em off them and beat em up and take there guns if they have any, also put a day and night clylce in the mall and put a 3rd person alos it would make it good

Its a launcher application for the mod, its a choice weather you use it or not, but it supplied extra maps an updates, information and links to downloads and other tools.
All updates will be places on the launcher and you don't have to use it.

Just out of couriosity, will the players be able to add their own content, via the Mortwood launcer.
Yes, but the only content will be new maps and updates, new weapons and other things will come in updates as they require new code, models, materials and scripts but maps on their own can be downloaded and installed using this tool straight to your map folder!
Its just easy for some people to click add map, and select file off desktop than to browse through all the folders to find the mortewood plaza maps folder and cut and paste the map into the right folder. Plus the launcher will display new maps that i find are worthey to download by all in the new content area, the best maps will be shown here and upon clicking it, will link you to the maps website.

dang... i love it. this is gonna be sweet. especially the part about the good stuff other people made that you deem worthy being downloadable from the launcher... wow. i like it alot.
Yeah, a new map update every now and again, it will be updated with a new map every week upon release, probably judged by me, and the user of the launcher can easily see that this is a worthy map and will be able to download it from here!
I also might make a past map list of the best, just a simple website library, so other maps not shows will also get a shot at being viewed by others!

the mod download and updating should be like the ones i saw on the new zombie panic and synergy (the one that works with steam). but still like the idea of having a launcher for the mod like that which its pretty nice
Well i can never get Steamworks SDK like zombie panic and stuff so this is my little version, i like it better because of the custom content loader :D

How's that co-op gonna work?
If that's a hassle to reply to, don't worry about it.
Well its going to work like co-op does, but this will not be missions (yet) it will just allow the ability for you and some mates to go online in a server, survice, chillout and beat some zombies to death while making bases and so on.
May not sound like much but i find it FUN AS HELL.
Eventually ill make some co-op maps, like survive a load of zombies, and ones like rescue a load of survivors and so on!
