Frequently Asked Questions
Last Updated: 23-11-2013

Q: Is R1 required in order to run R2?
A: Nope.

Q: I own the Steam version of SWBF2. How do I install this mod?
A: Download and install the Steam version instead at: Moddb.com

Q: I installed the mod, but nothing appears to be changed in-game. What's wrong?
A: If you have other mods (e.g., Conversion Pack, Dark Times, BFX) and/or a lot of other maps installed, try uninstalling them.

Q: Do I need to uninstall the old version of the mod before installing the new one?
A: Nope.

Q: Will there be factions like the Turians and Quarians added?
A: WHEN I FREAKING FEEL LIKE IT! Erm, I mean, um... Eventually. :) All depends on acquiring the necessary art assets.

Q: What do I do if, when I load up a map, the music doesn't work?
A: Simply restart the map. We are still addressing this issue.

Q: My frame rate drops substantially on maps such as Eden Prime, Prothean Skyway, Mos Eisley, etc. How do I improve it?
A: Try setting Shadows to Low or Off in your video settings. If that doesn't help enough, try lowering your screen resolution.

Q: Start Menu folder? What is this blasphemy?!?
A: Trust me, it's not what you think! Upon installing the mod, a Start Menu folder called Mass Effect - Unification is created. Inside this folder are helpful links and documents as well as a shortcut to the Configuration Utility.

Q: I tried uninstalling the mod by deleting the ME5 folder in my addon directory, but the music is still there and stuff! D:
A: Don't remove the ME5 folder from the addon folder manually! To uninstall the mod, simply run the uninstaller located in the Mass Effect - Unification Start Menu folder; that'll remove everything. Alternatively, if you just wish to play other mods without running over the mission count, open up the Configuration Utility and disable the mod through there by setting Toggle Mass Effect: Unification to Disabled.

Q: How do I uninstall the mod?
A: Run the uninstaller located in the Mass Effect - Unification Start Menu folder; everything related to the mod - including the custom shell music (the stock music will be restored) - will be removed.

Q: How do I get the old shell graphics and/or music back without uninstalling the mod?
A: Open up the Configuration Utility and disable it through there by setting Custom Shell Art / Custom Shell Music to Disabled.

Q: How do I get rid of AI heroes?
A: Open up the Configuration Utility and disable them through there by setting *AI Heroes to Disabled in the Heroes tab. (Note: This only affects offline singleplayer matches.)

Q: How do I change Shepard's class?
A: Open up the Configuration Utility and set *Class to your choice in the Commander Shepard tab. (Note: This only affects offline singleplayer matches.)

Q: What's all this talk about a dedicated server? :O
A: We have our own dedicated server created exclusively for this mod. The server name is Unification (r2) USA West if you ever want to join in on some fun, multiplayer action.

If anyone wonders why the server is password protected at the moment, it's because we've updated the server to r2 for testing and if anyone had joined they would have just crashed. When we release r2, we'll remove the password encryption so everyone can download r2 and play.
