Also, a little message to the author before I start my review, don't give up. I don't want you to feel bad about the score. This is more about telling you what needs to be improved. If a full version is released and you want me to update this review, send me a PM and I will gladly do so.

Positives:

- Good voice acting
- A lot of creativity

Negatives:

- Level design is below average
- Lack any kind of innovative puzzles
- Pretty much no music or ambience at all
- No intro, no credits

Story: 3/10

I understand this is a demo, so I don't expect a long story or anything, but a demo should make me want to play the full version. The dream and acid trip were both interesting, but it ended so hastly and it seemed like you tried to make a full story with a beginning and end in this short demo.

It needs to build up much longer and not end so quickly. You should perhaps take a small part out of your mod, the best most interesting part of it and have that as a demo, instead of trying to include as much as you possibly can. It felt so confusing like this.

Puzzles: 3/10

Mostly key quests unfortunately. None of them hard to find either, or requiring much work. There is a huge lack of innovating ideas here.

Level design: 4/10

Not a 1/10 because you avoid many mistakes new authors make, such as a bunch of texture glitches, making rooms way too large and so on.

However, the lightning is not that good. For example, you added lights coming from the windows, but why is it pitch black around the windows? Think about it realistically, the windows are not covered by anything at all, it is bright outside, yet no lights are around the windows, only elsewhere.

You also need a boxlight so it's not pitch black where there are no lights (not a bright one, can be as low as 0.05 or something like that, but a tiny bit of boxlight would be good), add more details, decals and so on.

Music and ambience: 2/10

I tried both the demo and the "Testing Grounds". Testing Grounds had one ambience far as I remember, but other than that, complete silence. You need to add music. Music has a huge impact. It can make maps 10 times scarier, it can make sad moments 10 times more emotional.

Creativity: 7/10

The scripting and ideas used for the dream and acid sequences surprised me. What I think this is, is a underdeveloped story, but creative ideas put into it. Keep these ideas up.

Voice acting: 8/10

Great work here! There were enthusiasm here and it fits the protaganist well. Not professional quality but it's good.

Bugs & glitches: 5/10

Crashes after level 3 because level 4 is nowhere to be found, the armor level in Testing Grounds is missing a roof ^^. Enemie AI can be better no doubt. At least I didin't encounter any gamebreaking bugs that forced me to start all over again, and you know how to connect walls and floors togheter correctly so I couldn't find that many texture glitches.

Conclusion:

Love the ideas and voice acting, but the story was confusing and puzzles too cliché and not innovating at all. I hope the story will be better in the full version, and that you add music.

Again, do not be discouraged. You are still new and learning. You are creative. If you improve your level design, you can make a good final mod, I'm sure of it.
