A quick update. Earlier this week I started to fix up the main hall ( though I have done that a little earlier ) but I stopped and fixed the basement instead. The basement is complete and now I'm going back to the main hall and the first thoughts I had, was that I really have to remake everything. So the main hall is remade and this is a hallway from the main hall to the overlook over the dinning room, plus the mansion itself will be expanded greatly as well and will have outdoor areas too... :)

My inspiration was definitely Resident Evil 1 remake for gamecube, I played it when I was very young and **** myself several times. I really loved the big dark mansion atmosphere.
If you like this you should try Resident Evil 1 remake, if you don't have gamecube you could use Dolphin emulator for gamecube on pc. I do that too but the controls really make it boring, so if you have a gamepad that will be best. XD
Well I tried a game with a PS1 gamepad some time ago on Dolphin, it's weird... But playable x)
