This mod provides five campaigns for you to play that allow you to play as the flood using assets from some other halo mods. The campaigns are release, recuperation, infestation, vitriol, and decay which is the shortest and not yet finished. These campaigns puts you in the shoes of a couple combat forms showing the story of the flood spreading throughout the ring. Release takes place in the swamp facility where the covenant originally released the flood. You will have to fight out of the facility dealing with the covenant and humans that eventually come to the facility. Recuperation is set in the library after masterchief had decimated the floods forces getting the index, you play as the flood slowly renewing their numbers using a covenant task force sent to retrieve the icon. Infestation is the story of the flood that crashed the spirit from the swamp directly into a hanger bay on the truth and rec, be part of the initial infestation and watch as your horde grows in number.

HOTFIX: The combat form behavior has been change so they act like they used to and get to the correct areas :D

First off, thanks to Gravemind for the following:
added bump maps to elite and human combat forms
added bumpmaps to the first person flood arms
fixed combat form armour so that the form doesn't phase through it
changed a lot of animations to custom ones and ones from halo 2 that fit a lot better
changed flood ai so its smarter and can react properly to some situations
animations fixed up and made smoothernew sound usage by combat forms
Release is now done with all the levels finished, a few edits have been made in the most recent updates. In it you are one of the first infected in one hundred thousand years, and you feel the hunger. Fight through the swamp facility to free the flood from the millennia of confinement that they've been held in for so long. Fight through all the enemies you'd expect and be one of the horde watching the marines as they go intrepidly to their doom.
Recuperation is something ive been wanting to do for a while. Now with a decent amount of varied levels at five and all of the bugs fixed. It takes place in the library after Master Chief has left with the icon in guilty spark's possession leaving the flood in tatters. Luckily for you, under the advances of the Prophet of Stewardship a large covenant force has been sent to retrieve the holy icon and continue finding how far the parasite has spread. Recover your horde with these fresh bodies in the halls of the library and escape through the sentinel wall.
Infestation is finished and has had a few changes since release, most towards the end and adding audio files. In it you play as one of the many combat forms that used crashed the dropship in the swamp to crash into one of the truth and rec's hangers before Master Chief and Cortana arrive. You'll whitness the spread of the flood through the ship as you progress and defend the protomind in two stages of growth. Once again, hope you enjoy.
Vitriol is the newest campaign that's been made with all new scripting and fun stuff put in thanks to DeadHampster. It takes place in and on the island of the silent cartographer showing the flood enter the facility and begin to consume and infest until they have the biomass to create a hive. Destroy the covenenat resistance and protect your hive from the covenant forces that are hell bent on destroying this infestation even resorting to drastic measures.
Decay is a short series of levels that I don't think that I can finish even with the switch to opensauce, I really hoped for these to be so much more but I'm still happy enough with the results. In this campaign you're in the crashed pillar of autumn having seeped through cracks in the hull try to consume what you can in this desperate effort to get off the ring.
All credit where it's deserved. Everything from the amazingly done flood perspective from the forgotten exile crew. The halo 2/custom animations, bump mapping of textures, creation of crazy good animated biomass, infection animations and custom infection forms from Gravemind, the campaign would not be anywhere near as good without his help. Thanks to DeadHampster too for helping me with scripting the new camapaign wouldn't be done without him. Not to mention Delta and cmts amazing work on their Halo 2 assets, thanks so much for letting people like me create shit too guys, means a hell of a lot!
