New GLA unit!
M60A3 Phoenix Main battle tank
Will replace T-72's role of heavy Tank for Deathstrikes forces, T-72 will replace T-55.
Salvage Upgrades: Armor Improvements.
Coming up in 0.98

Please make it double-barrelled with scrap upgrade.
It would be hilarious if the GLA got old American gear that progressively became better than the actual new USA units, with upgrades.
The role of this is to be a heavy tank, not much firepower, but alot of protection

It is a C&C classic.
The original Heavy Tank, from Red Alert, was double-barrelled.
Thats why you have warlord for China with 2 barrels.
Marauder also is double-barrelled after upgrades.
It is also the Heavy Tank of the GLa. It is a general theme throughout all C&C games.
The dev may not want to do it, for onw reason or another, and I respect his artistic vision.
However, in the base game, double-barrelled Heavy Tanks already do show up in 2 out of 3 factions, with the Paladin being the outlier.
I just thought a M60 Heavy Tank with 2 guns would be awsome, and would already fit in with the general GLA theme, that the Marauder already set.
Nope, Marauder is not dual barrel any longer :P

I suggest you make this upgrade as a purchase for the same price as the original soldier
Upgrades are limited to waste them on such minor thing.
You didn't get it. I mean when you click on the tank you have choices to purchase those upgrades. That will be more easier instead of purchasing the man then the solider then add him to the tank
No it's you didn't get it - as i heard there are only 128 slots for upgrades in game code, so spending upgrade slot for such tiny "lazy" thing is just a waste.
this was done to give rebels a purpose late game.
and yes making an entire upgrade would be time consuming aswell.

Suddenly got an idea for all old Soviet vehicles that would be replaced - how about a new tech structure where anyone can buy them, so units don't go to waste?

in reality its an upgrade package from Jordan for the M60A3.

its the sabra from basic USA converted into a GLA tank, its actually the M60A3 Phoenix (Used by Jordan and Israel an area where GLA controls in the lore)
