The End Of Days is a freeware modification for Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour. Our mod adds a new playable faction - Russia, and greatly improves the original three with new units, structures and special powers!
Here's two new units for Russian Federation:
- BMPT-72 "Terminator-2"
- 2S25 Sprut-SD
BMPT-72 will replace Chrizantema in Vehicle Paradrop. It's armed with twin 2A42 autocannons and 4 Ataka missile pods. It will support your tanks in combat.
Sprut is a light tank. It will replace T-90 for Air Forces (it makes much more sense to have airborne vehicle for Air subfaction right?).
It's faster than T-90 but has lighter armor. Damage is the same since Sprut is armed with 125-mm cannon as well.
You may ask "What's with Chrizantema?"
Well, it will replace T-90 for Strategic Missile Forces. We think it's much better option than T-90 for two reasons:
1. Strategic Missile Forces obviously should have more missile-armed vehicles.
2. T-90 is one of the best tanks in the mod and SMF with their super-strong artillery units and those tanks were over-powered.

Any plans on doing missions/Challenge maps? Or is that reserved for after all main features are released?
It's very hard to make a good mission map. We have plans for that, but don't expect it soon. Probably in final version we'll have Act I complete, we'll see.
If you have an experience in map making/scripting, we'll be very thankful if you help us.
Hey I like these changes, they make sense.
If I may propose, in the USA Weapon Forces I'd suggest moving the Stryker MGS from SOCOM to Air Forces. It's supposed to be an airdroppable vehicle anyway.
Maybe add some research that makes its infantry stronger instead? (supposing they're special forces)
Stryker-based vehicles are the feature of SOCOM. Maybe in future we'll make Strykers able to hold 2 infantry units. We'll think about main combat unit for USAF later, thank you.
Well, we have Chem Suits for now. Maybe we'll add something else. We have plans to make SOCOM more about Hi-Tech units than infantry tbh.
Are those new units?
IIRC Terminator appeared in previous versions.
Sprut is completely new unit.

You should also make it that the Smerch is the base Russian unit that gets replaced by the Iskandar instead of the former replacing the TOS-1A
It's a bad idea.
Smerch is a perfect crowd-controller. There's no need of such vehicle at the start of a game. TOS-1A clears garrisons and pretty good against base defenses, so it's a much better option for early-mid game.
Smerch will be available for Strategic Missile Forces only. It won't require unlock in Patch 1 btw.
IMO it could be better vise-versa: make Smerch an "upgrade" of Iskander for Strategic Missile Forces, as this sub-faction gets overcrowded with rockets, overlapping roles.
Which is why I suggested the change that and the Iskandar is fitting for the strategic missile forces as it's a missile platform not a rocket like the Smerch.
I know that it's available for Strategic Missile Forces but the Iskandar would actually be more fitting for said subfaction as it's a ballistic missile launcher while the Smerch is a MLRS which isn't fitting for a missile focused subfaction that and the TOS-1A is also good for crowd control with a higher reload rate.

kinda pity it's not Terminator 1(Ramka), that looks lower, not so bulky turret, more badass.
Why we cant use all the weapons like previous versions and these units will be additional? Make this generals thing another option that anyone can use if they want to? If there is no enough space you can add another buttons to train the other units also not like the idea of chrizantema replacing t90 we will not have a tank and only reliying on missle units which do not make sense even though its missle forces i suggest it will be additional since there more than enough space for adding these units rather than replacing others with the and at the same time we can use both of them... Now we will be more limited to the weapons even more...this subfactions idea makes the game very limited even though it makes the use of specific strategies to counter and distroy the enemies
Hell yeah my favourite modern Russian war machine, so will terminator work as a fragile (for armor vehicle) yet super versatile unit? I mean, able to take on infantry and air with the MG, and ATGMs make it a great armor support...
It won't be able to engage aircraft
I was hoping the BMPT would be buildable. i say replacing the T-90 with the T-90M as russia's main tank, it will have soft kill aps as upgrade and a commander MG.

The MRAP could possibly use the Battle-Bus mechanic when it hits a mine or gets blown up by certain types of explosives. The main issue is as you discribed: making a model from scratch. Good luck!
you guys also said yourself "t-90 is one of the best tank in our mod" and its a early tank. all the nations early tanks are m60,type-85 and scorpion. Isnt it you know... unbalanced.
is there any ideas about replacement for t-90 and carrying t-90 to a sub faction like heavy assault force?
T-90 can be compared to M-60A3s and early Abrahms. Thing is - they chose to include the T-14 ingame.. so the logical step down would be a T-90. They could have chosen a T-80 variant instead of the Armata.. but the Armata looks pretty darn cool :)
T-90 becomes very strong after shtora and gun upgrade. And also we will replace it for other sub factions as we mentioned
Khrizanthema was actually the name of an Russian ATGM, the launch vehicle was named the same (because of its numerical original name might be not that appealing) and was based on BMP 3 that specially designed to only launch this ATGM, also Krizanthema was the spiritual successor of the Sthurm-S, an ATGM launching vehicle of soviet origin and was based on MT-LB.
tl;dr its a tank destroyer with ATGM
