What if GDI and Nod failed to defeat CABAL during the Firestorm Crisis? With both organizations destroyed by CABAL, nothing was stopping the rogue AI from conquering the world, replacing humanity with cybernetics. The Forgotten, out of the way for much of the Firestorm Crisis, now find themselves being hunted down, conflicted between fortifying their sanctuaries and actively waging a guerrilla war for their own survival. The years of unchecked Tiberium growth would also eventually attract the Scrin, expecting Earth to be devoid of hostile life. Their ignorance would only end up thrusting them into the war between CABAL and the Forgotten mutants, a dangerous situation due to their unpreparedness but their desire for the Tiberium Ichor drives them to destroy anything that stands in their way. A new Tiberium War is about to begin between CABAL, the Forgotten, and the Scrin. Conquest, survival, addiction. For whom will you fight for?
* This unit is unique to the Warriors Of Tratos subfaction
The Juggernaut was GDI's heavy mobile artillery introduced during the Firestorm Crisis in response to Nod's own usage of mobile artillery. Despite it's impressive range and firepower, it was not enough to turn the tide of battle against CABAL. As a result of GDI's eventual defeat, many Juggernauts ended up incomplete and abandoned in their War Factories only to be rediscovered by the Warriors many years later. Good thing too as they were in need of some big guns after the Scavengers refused to share their newfound ballistic missile technology with anyone. Unfortunately, barely anyone knew how to get any of the walkers to function. As an alternative, the walkers' turrets were instead mounted on some of their biggest and most powerful haul trucks. The new Juggernaut was neither fast nor heavily armored, leaving it extremely vulnerable to fast raiders. Once it got into position though, only the toughest tanks would be able to survive an unrelenting barrage of shells fired from it's three 120mm howitzers. The numerous ordnance fired coupled with it's inaccuracy makes it better at shelling groups of enemies and large buildings than smaller singular targets. Aside from it's lack of speed and armor, it's minimum range which prevents it from firing at anything too close to it serves as it's major weakness. Thus, close-in protection is often needed when fielding it.
EDIT: It now needs to deploy before firing.
EDIT2: Removed deploying gimmick, updated voxel
original voxel by: azri_apoc (body)
a very minor nitpick, the Juggernaut's guns are battleship size so 250mm or larger at least according to the original manual as well as most howitzers in real life being 155mm+ as that's what the Paladin self-propelled howitzer is
I'm basing it on it's TS stats which was armed with 120mms instead.
where do you find that info just out of curiosity
very nice
DAMN SON, WHERE'D YA FIND THIS?
