What if GDI and Nod failed to defeat CABAL during the Firestorm Crisis? With both organizations destroyed by CABAL, nothing was stopping the rogue AI from conquering the world, replacing humanity with cybernetics. The Forgotten, out of the way for much of the Firestorm Crisis, now find themselves being hunted down, conflicted between fortifying their sanctuaries and actively waging a guerrilla war for their own survival. The Flame Fougasse is a simple yet deadly weapon the Scavengers developed from ancient designs. It is a large self-firing flamethrower system which consists of a bunch of fuel drums kept hidden from view and rigged to blow all at once when an enemy inadvertently trips it's proximity trigger. Not only does the resulting explosion deal massive damage to anything caught in it, it also generates a localized inferno that continues to burn for a period of time, the extreme heat it produces is said to be capable of melting tank armor. This makes it extremely useful for area denial, especially when used at choke points. Due to it's volatile nature, it is often setup further away from the base in order to avoid friendly fire. More sadistic Chieftains have been known to place multiple Flame Fougasses within close proximity with one another in order to maximize their damage output, creating a literal wall of flames when they detonate.
