Blimey! I have no idea where to start with this article. I think I'll just waffle and see where things go. So firstly, apologies for not doing an article when we released v2.05. We realised within a day or so that there was a significant campaign bug that required a hotfix. We had this hotfix available on our Discord but I didn't want to advertise a slightly broken patch by posting an article. I knew I wanted to do a quick patch after with the fixes and additional content so decided I'd do an article after the next patch (this one!).
So what has changed since 2.041?
As always a shit load. Too much to go through in this article but the changelog will be linked at the bottom. What are the main things though? Plenty of campaign work, including beta versions of more Strongholds. We also have a total Eldar redesign and a Chaos Daemons rework.
So lets start off with the campaign changes. As always this is all headed up by olegkuv and I can't remember all the details. We have two more strongholds that have had major reworks, so Space Marine and Sisters of Battle are joining Necrons with a major rework to their Strongholds. These will now have new concepts and mechanics. Necron stronghold has also had continued tweaking (mostly finetuning difficulty - yes it has been toned down a little! Especially at lower difficulties). We have also started reworking the Honor Guard. It has always been our policy to not implement named characters but olegkuv had the idea to add them to campaign as HG as a compromise. Imperial Guard and Eldar are the first victims. Lets take a look at some of the new Honor Guard units;
Adeptus Arbites Sentinel Builder
Adeptus Arbites Ranged and Melee Enforcers, Lord Commisar Yarrick, General Mercury.
Thunderbolt Heavy Fighter
Eldar HG - Asurmen, Jain-Zar and Spirit Walker
We're still considering them beta in terms of implementation but feedback has been great so far.
Onto the Daemons rework. There really is too much to talk about here but me and olegkuv did do a stream where we chatted through the whole thing. Here is the link;

TLDR - you can now build all units no matter which path you choose, but a lot of buffs, abilities and gameplay options will unlock depending on which god you choose to follow.
We added a few more units to flesh out there rather limited roster so here they are!
Bloodcrushers of Khorne
Nurgle Zombies
Seekers of Slaanesh
Hate Angels (Slaanesh)
Flaming Chariot (Tzeentch)
And now onto Eldar. This was a total redesign of the whole army. So things will be very different. I'll hopefully be editing a tutorial over the next few weeks to help people with the transition to new Eldar. The Craftworld system is now fully fleshed out. Each Craftworld will have three unique researches and this is what will really set the different Craftworlds and their playstyles apart. These researches will unlock in tiers 1, 2 and 3 and do all sorts of things. Each Craftworld will also gain access to 2 researches from a pool of 5. These are all taken from researches that were all available previously, but now locked behind Craftworlds. One example is Wraithbone Regen. This is no longer available to all, but will be available to Craftworlds more known for their use of Wraith constructs.
This joins the huge Aspect Warrior rework. Basically all Aspect Warriors are available in tier 1 at an appropriate power level. Each aspect has two tiers of upgrades (tier 1 and 2) so you can choose which Aspects will scale. Many of the second tier researches will unlock new abilities not previously seen on the Aspects. There are 16 total researches (2 tiers for 8 Aspects) and a max of 8 can be taken. This will lead to a lot of variety game to game.
Along with the Aspect and Craftworld researches, there are also numerous new units, most locked behind Craftworld selections.
Lets take a looksie!
The Eldar Super-Heavy tanks. Deathstalker and Lynx are new units and the rest are old units with new models.
Eldar Wraithknight - Available to 8 of the Craftworlds.
The Skathatch Wraithknight - available to the other 4 Craftworlds.
Shroud Runners - Available to Saim-Hann and Iybraesil
Crone Riders - Available to Iybraesil (this is a homebrew unit)
Black Guardians (for Ulthwe) and Greater Grav Platforms (for Ulthwe and Yme-Loc)
And finally, the new Jetbike model. Complete with weapon upgrades and Warlock if you take Saim-Hann
There are huge changes to Eldar and a lot of new units. Again, too much to explain here but me and olegkuv had another huge discussion on stream and the youtube link is here;

There are hundreds (probably) of other changes, so please feel free to take a gander at the changelog;

"That's it, I'm done with Dawn of War, tired of this game and it's crashes"
Crucible Updates: Is that so ?
Thanks for keeping this mod updated <3
How have you found the stability? Any crashing?
And thank you!
Sorry for the very late reply...
No issues, some random crashes here and there, nothing to worry about
То есть, начинать заново? Потому что это получается совершенно другая игра? :) Хорошо, начнём.

this version has crashed on me a bit more than the previous. is there a fix yet?
I have experienced more instability since 2.051. (It could also been my nvidia driver that needed a fresh install..) I will revert back to the new version. =)
Keep up the good work! My favorite mod at the moment!
