Half-Life: The Core is a classic retelling of the events surrounding the Resonance Cascade disaster from a new perspective. Featuring intense action, complex puzzles and believable narrative through all-new locations in Black Mesa with remarkable visual fidelity, pacing and humour.
Not every area of the central complex is in full working order, and with the staff being redistributed for an upcoming test, it's a wonder some parts are still up and running.
They just need to plop a few 'hiring' signs out around the desert, hopefully they'll get a cactus or two willing to work for free.
Really nice area with some good architecture although I don't see the point behind the chairs.
Looking pretty snazzy, but I can't really get a "feel" of what this room is supposed to be for (office, recreation, whatever). Also awkward spot to put heavy crates, maybe add a ramp for a push cart on the stairs?
Are those darker tiles intentionally misplaced? You monster.
I know... The lack of spare white tiles in the complex has caused many a scientist to lose their mind to OCD.
Thanks for your comment. The room is very much WIP so a lot will change. I just wanted to post something before turning in for the night. :P
I actually kind of like the misplaced tiles. Makes the place look more real, since, at least in my experience, repairs aren't always done with aesthetics in mind.
man nice to see an update, i know you guys are working hard, but it's nice to see a little proof once and a while, also: i am a high school student who is learning how to model, if you need any stationary props modeled (not textured) i would be glad to take a stab!
Atleast you people upload something. Not like Operation Black Mesa :P
I don't have anything against them but being almost silent about the mod development makes your mod to look dead. For me "The Core" is not dead.
Green and brown are generally pretty gross, but you've somehow managed to make it work here. Nice work!
That toolbox really didn't like those chairs
Yeah it looks good, which is to say all of this so far does.
Is it all happening in Half-Life HD Universe (Black Mesa and other Reamakes) or in old-good Vanilla HL?
