These tanks (just like all the Main Battle Tanks in TAOW) will have the Commander's Machine Gun (mounted on top of the turret).

It wasn't prepared at the time so we didn't include it.

The emblem in question is called the Iron Cross (the emblem of the Bundeswehr, the German Armed Forces).

The Iron Cross haves a long story and was initially a military decoration of the Kingdom of Prussia (early 1800's) and was initially used by the German Army in 1870's (long before the Nazis controlled Germany).

The typical and traditional black and white Iron Cross is used on German Military vehicles such as armored vehicles (as seen on the Leopard model) or aircraft while the newer blue/silver variant is officially used to represent Germany's Armed Forces on other circumstances Upload.wikimedia.org

Note that Nazi-specific emblems (such as the swastika or nazi-themed Iron Crosses as used by Nazi Germany during WWII) are prohibited by German law.

Erm, just to clarify, the Leopard 2A5 and A6 have the new 4th generation modular armor design. Only the old Leopard 2A4 has 3rd generation composite armor.

Description

The German Leopard 2A6 is one of the European Union's Main Battle Tanks (MBT's).
Considered by many to be the best modern Main Battle Tank due to it's impressive technical features, this beast mounts a Rheinmetall L/55 120mm main gun which is longer than it's earlier and shorter counterpart (the L/44), this gives this tank enhanced range and better terminal shell performance over other similar vehicles of it's class.
Extremely powerful 3rd Generation Composite armor gives this tank a formidable defense while it's deadly assortment of machine guns will be primarily used for anti-infantry duties.
This tank is also equipped with smoke grenade launchers and is highly upgradeable (offensively and defensively).
