A great looking mod, i enjoyed it story. I honestly can't say anything bad about it besides the enemies or rather the enemy lol. There is one enemy copy pasted in almost all levels that can notice you from across the map, slowly damage you from like 10 meters, and almost insta kill you up close. I had to mute the music multiple times to be able to hear it going by so i can continue. towards the end it became so tedious and annoying i just enabled god mode and finished it that way. But even then the obnoxious camera shake everytime it damages you still frustrated me lol. If there was atleast more variety or other kind of tasks besides go find x, get x, return to x, to fix x, while avoiding that thing. once or twice its fine but doing that for the whole game really gets annoying. But the story was really interesting, the graphics and levels are nice, the voice acting is good. The fact that even aliens think we are a horrible species killing each other over nothing great also. I definitely appreciate the work put into this, i haven't played any half life 2 mod that looks like this before, genuinely feels like a standalone source engine game. The UI is clever. Hope we will see more mods like this with maybe less annoying enemies in the future xD

EDIT:
-Would have been nice if we were able to trap the enemies in rooms, i tried doing that once with the first encounter, it just opened the door and left. Was honestly quite disappointed and felt cheated lol

Pretty good, if a bit short. I finished it in one afternoon.

The story is what you would expect. You've got a weird nebula out in space, the crew goes crazy, and now you arrive to find out what's going on. You know how this goes.

The inventory system is pretty neat. It seems to hijack HL2's weapon system where your weapons are your inventory items, and using an item is the same as firing your "weapon".

The game's difficulty is very easy. Yes, the game handicaps you by never letting you sprint, and no, this doesn't matter. You only ever need to deal with one enemy at a time, enemies can walk as fast as you, and they forget you exist when you hide in a vent or close a door in their face. I also had one time where I jumped on a pile of crates and the guy just stopped attacking me and walked off.

This doesn't mean you should let them get close, though. They can demolish you in seconds if they are able to smack you, and they can smack you for lesser damage if they are right behind you during a chase. Despite this, they aren't very threatening. I was never able to lock them in a room, but they are pretty easy to evade.

Just for giggles, I wanted to see if anything would happen if I actually went back to the shuttle when the captain told me to leave. Nope.

It can be a bit confusing where to go at times. I got lost in one part where you had to find three batteries, but I couldn't find the third. Turns out it was at the end of an out-of-the-way darkened hallway.

The flashlight is also limited use. The game is extremely generous in giving batteries to you, though. Same with medkits and other healing items. There was one part where I couldn't sneak past one guy so I just kept chugging wine while the guy slapped me until I reached the safe zone.

All in all, a pretty good mod for an afternoon.

Excellent full-conversion mod. It was short, not very difficult, but a little confusing at a couple points. The story was good if a bit cheesy. All in all I loved it.

I really enjoyed this mod. It has some excellent atmosphere, decent story, and fun stealth gameplay. My only real complaint is that the ending is somewhat underwhelming, but besides that everything was great. I hope that the creator of this mod continues to expand the Lunar Descent universe and I cant wait to play their next mod! 9/10

Good

Amazing mod with great atmosphere and presentation. Very recommendable if you like Amnesia.

The main strength of this mod is the story, the atmosphere, voice acting and the beautiful level design. Also a good UI is implemented for the inventory item selection. My main complain is that the batteries and the healing items are too many.

PS: It will be great if the author remake Lunar Descent and Dissolution with the same quality.

this is game, good

A well crafted walking simulator mod with a well written story set in its own universe.

It seems to be taking inspiration from Dead Space a bit, but doesn't copy anything from it, aside from the space horror setting. That only makes it better. There are not many HL2 mods that explore the space horror to its fullest potential.

If you want a short adventure to relax and enjoy for a couple hours, this is the mod to try.

Much like Amnesia: TDD, except it's in space.
Mod is a huge improvement over its predecessors
