It should be noted that the first variant may alter your gameplay quite significantly since both the player and the AI have access to these modifications in unit recruitments, so it's quite possible you will find yourself in a campaign with way more enemy armies than vanilla Tzardoms.
I've uploaded both versions separatedly so you can always choose the one you preffer. However don't forget to make copies of the files you'll be altering if you plan to unninstall my submod, otherwise your game might crash.
Also, this is the 1.0 version, I have plans to release a future update where i also change the weapons of cavalry units, fix some more bugs that went untouched and maybe add more content.
I hope you enjoy, i'm taking suggestions in what to add next, i'm mostly a modeler but i can do some light script editting as well.

Hotfix

News 4 comments

Hello everyone, this is a hotfix for Tzardoms Expanded 1.0 aiming to fix some texture and model bugs present in the submod that i was unaware of in the first release. I've also added the previous bugfixes by the original Tzardoms team, still, if there's any unit model that is bugged in game, please let me know, sometimes is hard to track that many models.
I've also added some fixes for Bracceschi pikemen, now they work like the Ronconieri Milanesi, fitting since they share the same weapon.

New main menu track for those interested:

Please check the downloads section and get the correct patch version for your submod.

Have you ever gave thought to reworking some of the unit rosters/visuals? Like, some factions such as the Ottoman, Hungarian or Byzantine units are just very uneven in quality when compared to stuff that the Italian factions might have.

Yes I would love to, I am working on Moldavia and Wallachia at the moment but I am interested into adding some Hungarian and Byzantine weapons in the future. Taking some historical references and tips from Tzardoms team as well. Still, it is just me making this mod so things go slow.

Hi, your mod is absolutely sensational, I wanted to signal only one problem though. The textures of your mod are unfortunately incompatible with the hotfix the main developers have made for the Bracceschi knights bug and other silver surfers or misplaced textures issue. When you apply the hotfix all the weapons textures get ruined, which is a real pity, so the choice is to either play the submod or play without the hotfix. I tried to solve the issue on my own, but to no avail. If it can help you in any way, I think the main issue lies in the battle models text, in yours, the wron texture is assigned to the Bracceshi, while in the new one, your textures get all over the place when you try to apply the hotfix. I really hope this was useful, sorry for bothering you. Good Luck for your future work and thank for your commitment.

Hey there! thanks a lot for the feedback.
I was aware of the Bracceschi knights texture bug and some silver surfer units ( i think polish knights for moldova had their mount bugged)and my plan was to adress those in the next version, but i didn't know there was already a hotfix for it since i did my submod with the version posted here in moddb. Where can i download that hotfix, mind you telling me? I can take a look at it and update the submod with these bugfixes, that won't be an issue at all. Thanks for letting me know!

The hotfix Is available both on their TW Center and their Discord. You should also be able to find a link to the tw center Page in the pages of comments underneath the mod here on moddb, read the comments up until you find It. If I recall correctly It should be page 3, but I am not sure.
