[PC Only] Tech Wars is a mod that does not convert the whole game, but it does add 4 human factions and a single alien faction, all with their own units, weapons and bonuses... The mod is in the WIP stage, so...
Factories, generators, biodomes and refineries (and extractors which I forgot to include in the image) have icons that blink (fade in and out) which are meant to show what resources certain buildings provide.
Refineries provide Crysarium by converting Raw Crysarium to [Refined] Crysarium that it takes from harvesters. Extractors just generate Crysarium with almost no power requirements, so it has no problems generating some with low power.
Factories don't have all of the icons I wanted to make (they have icons for Materials, Parts, Munitions, Power Cores and Supplies). I wanted to make one that showed that it was unset and I want to make one for all buildings that shows that the building has low power (for buildings that require power) and can't prodce at the normal speed as it should be able to.
Generators have an icon that simply shows that it provides Power. Maybe I should make it so that the Command Station has an icon too. It does provide Power too, after all.
Biodomes just have an icon for Organics... Not much to say.
