Taurus Legio is a space action MOD designed for fun gameplay, set in a Star Wars spoof/cartoonish/lowpoly cel shaded universe.
It has teamplay elements with the need for supply ships and ship strong/weakpoints, and group vicinity morale which encourages players to move in fleets.
Players can even control capital ships! When doing so, they get access to ordering smaller class spaceships around them (ie fighters) to form some sort of fleet attack coherence.

Due to the recent... events... concerning HL2, this mod might be put on hold for the moment. It is obviously already on hold (HL2 isnt out), but since the delay is blurry at best, it wont have any updates here.
This is NOT a cancel, the mod is still on. Its just that I got better things to do than stare at a date all the time, hoping time will pass faster. Currently I'm thinking on modding Savage in the meantime :)

Anyway, I am aware that any moron can see its Star Wars. That's the point! I wanted an game you would go "Hey, aint that a..." or "DIE IMPERIAL SCUM! Oh wait...". The original TL design actually changed, it was using original designs at first:

But then I thought, why not use something familiar? Model designs are obviously not something important for this mod. I wanted to get a funny cartoon/lowpoly feeling. Making an original cartoon doesnt make it cartoony anymore, you dont have a reference of what is realistic.

Any body with a sane mind can see the obvious star wars thing in fact that was the first thing i thought of .. i love the cell shaded thing looks great but you could at least of thought about your own designs instead of "modifing" existing ones thought up by the man him self (mr G Lucas) .. By mod comunity we mean modding games not others work .. if however it was a addition to a starwars thing say starlife ( a starwars half life mod true to the original) .. well i dunno im goin to stop with this right now. I just see it as a cheap star wars rip .. or even starwars lego (ios) cos thats all they look like .

Spaceballs, although quite fun, is TOO extreme for me. Look closer and you will see that the designs are actually only based on the Starwars, some far from the original. They have the same shape. That's about it. My Star Destroyer wannabe isnt even close to the real thing, except its spearhead shaped with a bay underneath. The Calamari Cruiser is so far from Keel Cruiser design its hardly a even a rip... Etc and so on. The X-Wing style craft is equally far from it. Cant be seen good from that point of view in the gallery, but the wings are actually slanted ALOT forward, forming a completely different shape.
So you want me to "at least change them a bit"? How on earth would I do that more than I have already done? Use 1 polygon and taped on speed stripes? :/
Maybe you should look at Star Wars before judging if its a rip.
