COP is based on the area being a no-fly zone with the military not having air support, ie: The chopper crashes. So it won't fit in with the vanilla storyline. It could be used to great effect in a new storyline mod though. You could even have another anomalous event happen at the powerplant on the CNPP map and use that explosion for it.
not really air support it may be an ICBM lol a big rocket and the small explosion maybe a BM 21 out of the zone
Could be but anything flying up there will still be prone to the effect of any airbourne anomalies. It's no big deal though, The Slayer mod in the Russian translations section is an extension of the vanilla storyline and involves rogue Military commander selling the Monolith an air launched missile system to use on there choppers in the zone.
It doesn't fit, it's against COP story and reality...but damn it's ******* cool! Better have it, everyone can choose to use it or not.
Imagine when overrun by enemies one can request an air strike on its position just to beat off their ***** in 'nam style.
A 10/10 plug in, at least for coolness :D
