3.0 Bug Fixes & Changes:
The GUI has been altered to provide helpful information on the basics of saving, ship filters and starting skirmish battles.
Several GC maps have been updated with new spawn points.
The Maw now include a marker for both the Gas Trading Depot and Uplink Station, so the dummy is no longer persistent after winning/losing the battle.
The texts has been updated to display the correct Shieldpoints, Hitpoints and spawning Squadrons; which includes all variants as well.
Thrawn's text no longer goes off the screen, others have had misinformation removed.
Dummy units should no longer cause a crash in defensive battles.
The Ai now has a chance of a random act in a GC battle.
The Ai can now build all units available to the player, which includes the Viscount and Praetor, in the GC and Skirmish battles.
The Uplink Station should now be buildable by the Ai.
The Ship Filter system has been updated to show all available units in a clean and simple manner.
Faction Technology build times has been reduced to 15/20/25/30 minutes.
Several Planets have had misinformation removed.
All Planets can now build both the Gas Trading Depot and Uplink Station.
The Underworld can now build Fleet Commanders from the Uplink Station.
Mon Mothma, Grand Moff Trakin & Tyber Zann now have Fleet Commander bonuses.
Tyber Zann is now upgradable.
Palpatine has been removed from the game.
Grand Moff Trakin can retreat, though now has a Fleet Commander debuff.
Several units have been updated with the new stats, squadrons sizes and build costs.
New Icons for the Freighter units have been added.
Zann's Subjugator has been enabled.
The Torpedo Sphere has been disabled.
Heroes have been removed from Skirmish battles.
More units have been added to Skirmish battles for each faction.
Build costs in Skirmish battles have been reduced.
Skirmish build bars have been organized by unit class and cost.
Defended mines no longer attack neutral or allied structures.
The Ai will now build all 3 types of defence platforms.
The Skirmish Level 2 Starbase upgrade has been reduced to 100 Credits, due to the Empire Ai.
The Underworld now has to research technology to gain new units, and starbase blueprints.
The Underworld's purchasable technology in defensive battles have been updated.
Installing:
Download the file, extract the file with 7zip, winrar or winzip. Take the folder inside the submod, called Data, and paste into the the EAW-Remake folder. Override the files and play the Remake mod normally.
The altered GUI was designed for Window Mode, the Skirmish ones are off a bit though will not interfere with the message or ability to play the skirmish battles.
Hello I'm sorry but can't you help me? I'm trying to get the orbital guns back in galactic conquest in the EAW-Remake 3.0 mod, but nothing comes out.
The only way I've found to have the ground to space weapon is to create a weapon hardpoint on the unlink station that has the ground to space weapon projectile.
Will there be more mod improvements from you?
I'm will be adding more submods and will be patching bugs I find, when both are in a good state to release.
Would it be possible to remove the ability to recruit CIS\Old Republic's ships in GC? It kinda kills my immersion (and gameplay) when i fight ISD's alongside CIS's Recusants as the Rebellion and when i get swarmed by Sith Interdictors under the Rebel flag as the Empire.
If you go into each unit's xml with Notepad or Visual Studio Code and change their <Tech_Level> to 99 that would prevent them from being built in GC.
All the unit xmls at Data/Xml/SubMod_Patch
Removing their file names from Data/Xml/GameObjectFiles.xml would remove them from the whole game, including any variant that use their code like a Underworld Hero and the last two Freighters, as well as making planets easier to be taken away from pirates.
There files names start with <file>SubMod_Patch/
After installation of the mod I have no buildable units anymore in multiplayer skirmish. The space station only shows the upgrades to the next level (which for some reason is ridiculously cheap, with 100 Credits) and the upgrade for mining efficiency, which is usually in mining asteroids, not in the station.
My friend has exactly the same problem - doesn't seem to occur in single player skirmish. Mod without this fix did not have this problem.
Sorry to hear that, I've found the problem.
The file names have a missing letter, which makes the game not recognize them.
You can either give the file names their miss "l" in the Data/Xml/SubMod_Patch/Multiplayer_Units folder.
So Mutlipayer_Empire.xml becomes Mutliplayer_Empire.xml do this for all the files in that folder.
Or
Go into GameObjectFiles.xml in Data/Xml scroll to bottom and remove the "l" from <File>SubMod_Patch/Multiplayer_Units/Multiplayer_Empire.xml</File>
So it becomes <File>SubMod_Patch/Multiplayer_Units/Multipayer_Empire.xml</File> do this with the other 2 files below this one.
I suggest your friend does it the same way you do to fix this issue, to avoid version missmatch.
I will be releasing a 2nd patch soon which will fix this.
I can't load galactic conquest save games, it crashes to desktop.
