Set in the Late Victorian Era, Steam & Steel: Total War features 30 factions and 5 sub-factions from the British Empire to the Sultanate of Aceh. The global campaign contains hundreds of meticulously researched regions, as well as unique political, economic, social and AI mechanics. The weapons and tactics of the era are well represented with 500 unique units each equipped with distinct weapons from jingals to howitzers. The culmination of years of development, research and testing, S&S will remain an active project; continuing in its aim of popularizing the history of the late 19th century.
at this stage the mod is unplayable crashes on every battle campaign you can only autoresolve. its a shame looks like a good mod looking foward to fixes
best mod ive played in a very long time. the devs are doing god's work. hope they expand on boer republics in scramble for africa campaign :D
Imagine if Creative Assembly kept the old Med2 engine when making Empire Total War, and expanded the map to cover the entire globe. Awesome mod.

The mod is still being developed, but the quality is already amazing. A Victorian Total war is something that I have always waited for.
A vote to the ambition and huge scope of the mod. Obviously it needs some polish, but the idea & execution are wonderful. Masterful!
This is greatly ambitous mod, it just needs so much work. the battle side of it almost unplayable. the Building system and cultures don't make sense or aren't accurate. I would add Portugal, Ethiopia as well.
