Star Wars Total war is the most Creative use in a mod I have known for the rome total war engine. it departs from the mainstay of RTW vannila's melee battles in a mesh of units that dont move to ranged units that have to constantly jostle and reposition to effciently attack the enemy. each faction has a unique play style instead of greeks have phalenxes and romans have legions. to win a battle you need to think from when you start about how you deploy your units to where and when to try to rout the enemy from. you want to feel like your playing a differnt game with the rome total war engine download this mod, want a experience just vaguely dissimilar to vanillia RTW go elsewhere. simple as that.
Dagovax is working on adding placeholder planets to all his new regions, and I've counted and there are between 43-45 regions/settlements/planets in this mod - the Galactic Map is based on a picture of all the planets from the movies episode 1-8, Rogue One and Solo - 45 in total.
It won't have any additional planets from the Expanded Universe, as the mod only has two factions plus the Neutrals/slave-faction which is unplayable.
The campaign will start at 2 BBY before the 4th movie and even before Rogue One.
- It will as such feature characters from all the original movies including Rogue One - plus Admiral Thrawn and potentially others.
